Ivermectin, a
potential anticancer drug derived from an antiparasitic drug
Ivermectin
has powerful antitumor effects, including the inhibition of proliferation,
metastasis, and angiogenic activity, in a variety of cancer cells. This may be
related to the regulation of multiple signaling pathways by ivermectin through
PAK1 kinase. On the other hand, ivermectin promotes programmed cancer cell
death, including apoptosis, autophagy and
pyroptosis
.
Ivermectin induces apoptosis and autophagy is mutually regulated.
Interestingly, ivermectin can also inhibit tumor stem cells and reverse multidrug
resistance and exerts the optimal effect when used in combination with other
chemotherapy drugs.

Ivermectin and Gynecologic Cancer: No Clinical
Evidence Yet, Only Preclinical Signals Found
In vitro studies suggest that ivermectin can potentiate
cytotoxicity when combined with paclitaxel or statins in chemo resistant
ovarian cancer cell lines. One cell line showed up to 25% reduced viability.
However, these findings have not been validated in animal models or human
subjects.
Mechanisms proposed include mTOR pathway and PAK1
inhibition—pathways implicated in some gynecologic tumors. But the evidence
remains theoretical.
Toxicity concerns are non-trivial:
ivermectin
interacts with warfarin
, may cause encephalopathy at high doses, and lacks
pharmacokinetic clarity in oncology regimens.
Off-label dosing beyond FDA-approved antiparasitic
indications is experimental and untested in cancer patients.

From
Stage Four Cancer: Was Cure Due
to Ivermectin?
After ten rounds of radiation and six of
chemotherapy, Paul Mann, fifty-five years old, wanted to know his
chances. You’re squeaking by day to
day,
his
doctor told him. It had been five months since his diagnosis. He was referred
to a hospice service and seen by a minister. Then he talked to a doctor
who treated cancer and brought up Ivermectin. It had few side effects, and had
been shown in laboratory and animal
studies
to
kill several kinds of cancer cells. He started taking it daily and after 2
months was cancer free. Others have also had this experience, but no finished
clinical trial data exist to date.
While the review highlights several
preclinical studies suggesting ivermectin may have antitumor effects, such as
inhibition of YAP1, PAK1, and the AKT/mTOR signaling pathway, as well as
induction of oxidative stress and apoptosis in various tumor models, these
findings remain limited to laboratory and animal settings. Importantly, no
clinical trials to date have
been
completed
evaluating ivermectin as a primary anticancer
agent in human patients.

Fenbendazole
Is
Fenbendazole a
Miracle Drug
for Cancer?
(appears yes)
Ovarian
Cancer:
The
natural
form of fenbendazole appears to
significantly halt the growth of
chemosensitive
and
chemoresistant
ovarian cancer cells. It showed promising
results in vitro but it did not work in vivo due to its insolubility in water.
To overcome this issue, fenbendazole was combined with nanoparticles to make it
water-soluble. Testing of the new version shows good results both in vivo and
in vitro including mouse models.
Breast Cancer:
Study results demonstrated that it induced high oxidative stress in
highly metastatic breast cancer cells. In normal breast cells, on the other
hand, the drug suppressed oxidative stress.
This
is evidence of the drug’s potential anti-breast cancer effect.
Lymphoma: Study shows that fenbendazole only kills cancerous cells while showing minimal toxicity on normal cells.
Colorectal cancer:
It significantly reduced the growth of
these cells by cell cycle arrest, p53 activation and apoptosis. The
Korean study authors recommended
it.
Leukemia:
It was
observed that this drug is involved in the production of reactive oxygen
species (
ROS
), thus inducing apoptosis among cancerous
cells.

the evidence and has found a handful of small early-stage human trials that

Can
Fenbendazole Treat Cancer? What’s the Actual Evidence
To
Date?
According to
the cancer research organization
AntiCancer
Research,
the anti-cancer activity of fenbendazole has been studied across many cell
lines, demonstrating anti-tumor effects against multiple cancer types.
Additionally, fenbendazole has shown efficacy against 5-FU, paclitaxel, and
docetaxel-resistant cancer cells. A scan of online social networks such as X
and others and many rave about the potential of this drug.
Similar to
many chemotherapy
drugs, fenbendazole can fight cancer cells, but with
less toxicity and fewer
adverse effects for patients
.
Several
individuals, particularly in online forums or self-experimentation contexts,
have claimed that taking fenbendazole has helped their cancer regress or
stabilize. One well-known case is that of Joe Tippens, a cancer patient who
popularized the use of fenbendazole after claiming it helped him recover from a
terminal cancer diagnosis.
But no clinical trials on humans so not
approved by FDA.
At
least twelve anticancer mechanisms of fenbendazole have been proven, according
to
research papers
and review articles. Those sources
demonstrated that the drug can inhibit the growth of cells in breast cancer,
lymphoma
(cancer of the lymphatic system),
leukemia
(blood cancer),
glioblastoma
(brain cancer), lung cancer, hepatocellular
carcinoma (type of liver cancer), ovarian cancer, rhabdomyosarcoma (tumor
in skeletal muscle tissue), and
urothelial carcinoma
(cancer in the urinary tract).
Oral
Fenbendazole for Cancer Therapy in Humans and Animals
This review
focuses on the pharmacokinetics of orally administered fenbendazole and its
promising anticancer biological activities, such as inhibiting glycolysis,
down-regulating glucose uptake, inducing oxidative stress, and enhancing
apoptosis in published experimental studies. Additionally, we evaluated the
toxicity profile of fenbendazole and discussed possibilities for improving the
bioavailability of the drug, enhancing its efficacy, and reducing potential
toxicity.
Given the low
cost of fenbendazole, its high safety profile, accessibility, and unique
anti-proliferative activities, fenbendazole would be the preferred
benzimidazole compound to treat cancer. Clinical trials should be implemented
ASAP.
Fenbendazole
and anthelmintics in Treatment of Cancer

Anti-cancer effects of
fenbendazole on 5-fluorouracil-resistant colorectal cancer cells
These results suggest that fenbendazole may be a potential alternative treatment in 5-fluorouracil-resistant cancer cells, and the anticancer activity of fenbendazole does not require p53 in 5-fluorouracil-resistant SNU-C5 cells.
Key
Findings from the Study
1.
Immune System Modulation:
The protocol enhanced the immune system’s ability to
detect and target cancer cells.
2.
Cellular Repair:
The
combination supported cellular repair processes, mitigating damage that
contributes to cancer progression.
3.
Anti-Cancer Activity:
Together,
ivermectin and fenbendazole appeared to limit cancer cell proliferation,
enhancing the effectiveness of the treatment protocol.
These effects were
further amplified by the addition of Vitamin E, curcumin, and CBD, which are
known for their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immune-supporting
properties. This synergy highlights the importance of combining multiple
therapeutic elements to address the complexities of cancer biology.

MEBENZADOLE
Fenbendazole
belongs to the benzimidazole class of drugs, which includes mebendazole, another
dewormer being explored for its anticancer properties.
Unlike fenbendazole,
mebendazole has undergone limited clinical trials and has shown promise in
certain cancers, particularly glioblastoma. Research suggests that mebendazole
disrupts cancer cell metabolism and interferes with microtubule formation which
is essential for cell division.
While
mebendazole has more documented evidence in human cancer care, its data remains
preliminary, and further studies are needed to confirm its potential.
AI Overview
Mebendazole, an antiparasitic drug, is being explored for
its potential in cancer treatment, with some promising results from research
and clinical studies.
.
How
Mebendazole May Fight Cancer:
Disrupts cancer cell
structure: Mebendazole inhibits tubulin polymerization, a process vital
for cell division and transport, causing cancer cells to collapse.
Reduces
inflammation: This can help slow cancer progression.
Induces apoptosis
(cancer cell death): It triggers programmed cell death in cancer cells.
How
Mebendazole Could Revolutionize Non-Traditional Cancer Care
Several in vitro studies suggest that MBZ inhibits a wide range of
factors involved in tumor progression such as tubulin polymerization,
angiogenesis, pro-survival pathways, matrix metalloproteinases, and multi-drug
resistance protein transporters. Mebendazole not only exhibits direct cytotoxic
activity, but
also synergizes with ionizing radiations
and different chemotherapeutic agents and stimulates antitumoral immune
response. In vivo, MBZ treatment as a single agent or in combination with
chemotherapy led to the reduction or complete arrest of tumor growth, marked
decrease of metastatic spread, and improvement of survival. Further
investigations are warranted to confirm the clinical anti-neoplastic activity
of MBZ and its safety in combination with other drugs in a clinical setting.
We show that MBZ treatment has dual use as a chemotherapeutic agent as well as blocking the hypoxia-induced phenotype that promotes chemoresistance.

MICROBIOME
The
Microbiome and Cancer: How Gut and Tumor Microbes Shape Treatment Outcomes
It turns out the bacteria living inside you
might be just as important as the drugs you’re given to fight cancer. A growing
body of research shows that your microbiome, the trillions of microbes in your
gut and even inside your tumors—can shape whether cancer treatment works, how
bad the side effects get, and even how long you live.
