Recovery from chronic health problems after amalgam replacement

About 85 % is a statistical number that various surveys in Scandinavia have been shown to be the portion of people recovering moderately fast ( 1 3 years ) after amalgam removal for various symptoms, some studies show 70+ %, some show 90+ % but average of the several surveys I have got to know ( mostly patient group surveys like Finn DAMS, Swedish Tandvordskadeforbundets surveys, surveys of Norwegian Dentist Bjoern Oppedahl( over 1000 patients ), statements from dentists who have treated their patients, statements from some amalgam researchers in Finland etc.

From: Mike Godfrey MD Amalgam poisoning

I am an MD with 37 years of clinical experience, the last 15 of which have

been devoted to environmental toxicology. I have had 5 clinical papers

published in peer reviewed biomedical or scientific journals over the last 7

years on the toxic effects of mercury from amalgam. Two of my papers have

been published in the New Zealand Science Review, this country's premier scientific journal. I have also delivered papers on the adverse effects of

mercury at CME approved medical conferences in the USA. I have examined

over 600 patients over the past 15 years and correctly diagnosed adverse

health effects from prolonged exposure to amalgam. Most of these

predominently middle aged patients had been chronically ill for many years

and had been going from doctor to doctor in a futile search for the real

underlying cause of their protracted ill health. Many had spent very large

amounts of money in inappropriate tests and many had had to cease gainful

employment due to their ill health. The reason why I can state that I have

correctly diagnosed these patients' problems is that an independent

randomised retrospective investigation was carried out on several hundred of

these patients and subsequently published (Jones L. NZ Psych J.Dec 1999).

This is the scientific method whereby primary research evidence is verified

instead of relying on unsupported opinions. Over 95% of the patients that I

had seen and who had completed both protected amalgam removal and

medical detoxification had achieved long lasting major health benefits. They

were for the most part justifiably delighted with the results, as well as

being angry with the dental profession for causing their ill health and the

medical profession for their lack of awareness. The latter included professors

who ought to have been more knowledgeable (M. Godfrey, MD)

DALLAS PATTEE Multiple Sclerosis

The neurologist said flatly, "You have Multiple Sclerosis (MS). There is no treatment and no cure." I sat silently in shock! My suspicions had been confirmed. I remember that day well, April 15, 1987  taxes and Multiple Sclerosis.

MS is a tough diagnosis for a 32 year old who is looking forward to a productive future. The thought of MS quickly blackened my future as visions of wheelchairs, convalescent hospitals and headstones flashed like neon in my mind.

I didn't accept the words of my neurologist "no treatment, no cure." As Dr. Bernie Siegel, author of "Love, Medicine and Miracles' points out, "doctor's words can kill."

Just because the orthodox medical profession was at a loss to help me did not mean that help wasn't available elsewhere. I consulted with a homeopathic practitioner. The first thing she said to me was to get the silver amalgam fillings out of my mouth

because they were poisoning me. I was very skeptical. If amalgam fillings were toxic why were dentists still placing them?

Surely the ADA, AMA, FDA or Ralph Nader wouldn't allow such a thing. Or would they?

Barbara explained that my health would not improve until the fillings were removed. She prepared a tailored homeopathic for me, put me on a strict allergy free yeast free diet with enzymes and B 12 injections. She gave me injections and told me to drink lots of distilled water and gave me a whole treatment regimen to follow. This helped to stabilize my health but improvement was very slow.

I don't believe in coincidence and it seemed God kept bringing to my attention stories of MS victims making remarkable recoveries after amalgam removal.

In December, 1 87, the message sunk in and I found a mercury free dentist in San Diego, to liberate me from the menacing clutches of the mercury fillings. He took special precautions to minimize my exposure to mercury vapor during the procedure

and I had chelation treatments afterwards. But even with all these precautionary measures, I still suffered horrible cumulative side effects.

I became hyper with incessant insomnia and developed flu like symptoms. My MS symptoms exacerbated. I wondered if amalgam removal was a mistake even though I knew it was mercury causing such physical and emotional distress. I was right. It was mercury. Within two months after amalgam removal, I knew without a doubt I was on the road to recovery.

There have been certain plateaus in the recovery process but considering mercury has a half life in the brain alone, of 21 27 years, it is a wonder my body has responded so well. Yet my remarkable recovery is termed nothing more than a placebo effect by the AMA, ADA and National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

I personally think it's nothing less than a miracle! Actually, my improved health can be explained quite easily as a simple example of cause and effect; remove a known poison from the mouth and feel better. That's not a lace 0 effect; that's pure truth and logic, also known as good ole common horse sense.

If you have amalgam fillings be aware that they contain 50% mercury and amalgam is often hidden under crowns and in root canals. Those fillings sit in your mouth 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks a year, year in and year out and will probably follow you to your grave   if not help put you there! You may never know the serious chronic health rob ems you may avert later by taking action now. It's a matter of choice   yours. Be informed and be healthy.

CYNTHIA GREEN Multiple Sclerosis

After six long years in terror and fear, it is almost impossible to make my story brief. It started about eight years ago when I began having terrible headaches and backaches. After visiting many doctors and getting no relief, I learned to live in pain.

Then vision problems began to bother me. Everything seemed to be a blur and was becoming very dim.

Once again doctors said you're just getting older and vision usually changes with age. I laughed because I was only 22 years old! Not long after that I had to have a hysterectomy but still the other problems persisted.

We had just moved from Houston to the open country in Louisiana in 1985 when the problems were really getting out of hand. I would drive home and nearly pass out and would have to pull over and get myself together. I then began to notice I was having trouble remembering things.

Suddenly in November of 1986, the real nightmare began. I could not walk because of weakness in both legs, experienced

balance problems, a low grade temperature, stomach disorders, severe memory loss, states of unconsciousness, hair loss,

scanty urine and the list goes on...

Thousands of dollars, numerous tests many doctors later, I was told I had everything from Asian Flu to Multiple Sclerosis. An

MRI had revealed lesions on the brain along with central nervous system damage and one blind eye. I was told to go home

and learn to live with it because there is no known cause or cure.

I was bound and determined that there was an answer. All it would take would be time, patience and God to find an answer to this horrible nightmare.

I began having breathing problems and I would actually stop breathing. On one occasion I had to be rushed to the emergency room and once again was told that sometimes people die with MS.

I was no longer able to drive a car or do my shopping because of all the overwhelming symptoms. I walked with the use of a cane for four and a half years only because I refused to be pushed in a wheelchair. I felt that if I gave in this would be the last

of Cynthia Green. My husband did all shop ping, cleaning and all our regular bookwork. My two boys couldn't even depend on Mom for help with their homework because I could not even comprehend the problems in which they needed help.

Needless to say I was a cane walking zombie!

But thanks to God, '60 Minutes' covered the mercury/amalgam issue and I caught the last 1 0 minutes. The program boosted me enough to look into every book at our local library on mercury poisoning. The information was unbelievable!

I took everything I found to my traditional doctor and laid it out for him. After he reviewed all the data and my symptoms, he scratched his head and said, "Let's be objective, but I believe you may have something here." He ran a urine test and to our surprise, along with my history, the nightmare was coming to a close   the real diagnosis was

MERCURY POISONING FROM DENTAL AMALGAM!

I contacted DAMS in Colorado and Shirley Brown was very helpful through my detoxification. I could never begin to express my warm gratitude for all that she has done.

After 6 years of severe illness, I now drive myself; I can shop all day and never get tired; I walk on my own without the cane; I can hold a conversation; I do my own housework; I wake up each morning to a brand new day of blessings and most important my husband and two boys have their wife and mom back   better than ever. Finally, I can say that I am healthy and the nightmare is OVER!

For this I thank God, DAMS and Shirley Brown.

Now I am doing all I can to help inform others of this hidden secret. I am establishing a DAMS Chapter. It will be an honor to be a part of your organization.

You have given me my life back and a cause worth fighting for and believe me after fighting for my life for six years, just think of the fight I have in me to make sure that amalgams are banned. Once again I thank you from the bottom of my heart and I

promise to work very very hard!

RS. I met a lady in her forties that was diagnosed with MS. Her amalgams have been removed. She is going through detox and doing great. She only lives 30 miles away from me and says once she has completed detox, she'll be ready to help too!

MEMORIES OF MS By Mary Davies

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at age 28, but my problems began long before that. I started wearing eyeglasses at 8 years of age. That was probably the first indication of trouble to come. The next fifteen years I dealt mostly with emotional

problems. Deep depression and hypersensitivity led to hospitalization, but even after intense therapy, I was doing no better. Along with the emotional problems, I was also struggling with sleep disturbances (which I didn't realize weren't normal) and

an irritable colon.

I finally just grew out of the depression and grew into some unusual problems. I started itching all over my body but had no

obvious rash. This was also at a time when I was doing a lot of aerobic exercise.

Since I was on medication for the itching and the medication also helped me sleep, for the next few years things were (I

thought) fairly normal. I was always tired (as I had been since I was about 12) but by that time I was so accustomed to it that

I didn't consider it abnormal. This also happened to be the time when I was newly married and on the birth control pill, so I

assumed my problems (depression) were hormonally linked.

At age 26, I had my first symptom of "MS' After that I suffered strange symptoms. Achy legs, extreme tiredness and lack of

energy became everyday companions and my sleep problems worsened.

Seven months after I had my daughter, I had another "MS" exacerbation. It was at this point that I was diagnosed as having

MS. A lot of things beame clear when they told me I had MS. There were still a lot of unexplained problems such as the depression and sleep disturbances, but I didn't connect them.

Approximately one year after having been diagnosed I had my fillings replaced. I was skeptical at first so I didn't recognize what was happening to my body. I also didn't take any effort to detoxify because I wasn't really sure what to expect. Luckily,

I had a dentist who was very knowledgeable on the mercury issue and he insisted I take vitamins before and during my dental appointments.

I had my fillings replaced in a series of three appointments. At the first appointment I had one filling replaced and was fitted for a cap. THAT VERY NIGHT I SLEPT BETTER! I was thrilled that I was sleeping better and knew it was from the fillings

but thought that was the extent of benefit from mercury amalgam replacement. In between my appointments, I noticed strange

things happening (tingling, dizziness, and metallic taste), but minimalized it.

Approximately one month after total replacement. I acauired a hormonal imbalance, various infections (yeast, bladder, and bacterial) and stomach problems escalated. I also acquired new allergies only to have them disappear right after they arrived.

It was about at this point that I started realizing that I wasn't as tired as I used to be. I was doing a lot more than I used to and my legs didn't ache anymore and I continued to sleep good also. I was convinced that the amalgam replacement was responsible for my improved health but still didn't understand the importance of vitamin therapy. It wasn't until I had another "MS" exacerbation that I discovered how important vitamin therapy is. During the latest exacerbation period, I had symptoms of MS, but overall I felt better than before I was ever diagnosed. It was at this point that I decided to investigate the mercury issue further. I started taking vitamin C every day and immediately started itching. I now know that the mercury was trying to escape from my body and it was irritating my skin. I continued to take the vitamin C and that's when I really started noticing improvements. My energy level increased to a point I don't remember experiencing for 20 years.

Today I have very few "MS' symptoms, my irritable colon has tremendously improved, as well as the hormonal imbalance. I continue to sleep well and my energy level is at an all time high. Memories of achy legs and lack of energy are just that   memories. I thank god every day for the people that helped me in my recovery. I only hope that someone reading my story will find an answer to their problems and be inspired to have their fillings replaced.

Editor's Note: Mary has had two miscarriages since amalgam replacement. The second miscarriage was at seven weeks. Mary requested that the fetus be checked for mercury and the results were four times higher than normal. Mary cautions

women of child bearing age to avoid amalgams and to follow amalgam replacements with agressive detoxification protocols.

Just to let you know that bipolar disorder might indeed be directly correlated to mercury fillings. My mother was diagnosed with this and suffered for 20 years before she had her amalgam fillings taken out.
She never had a manic episode again, nor depression.
I also heard from a friend whose mother had the same diagnosis and had a harder time getting well - I believe there might have been some dietary input of mercury aswell in that case. But she got well too, after mercury fillings removal and then proper chelation.
In relation to the mercury allergy test in autism we are setting up here in Sweden, prof Stejskal has earlier been looking extensively at the relation between mercury in connection to MS, Alzheimers and bipolar disorder.
And there is definitely an immunological overreaction to mercury in many patients with these problems.
So you don't need that much mercury to cause great problems. It doesn't have to reach toxic levels - so hair analysis may show a false negative result.
I most definitely urge you to help your nephew getting rid of the amalgams in a SAFE way. Then chelation MIGHT be necessary but never start chelation before all amalgams are out. Vaccinations may of course play an important role, but the thing to start with is dental amalgam removal.
If you want more info feel free to e-mail me.
Because of my mother I feel strongly for everyone affected by bipolar disorder. 20 years of her life was lost due to iatrogenic reasons.
Take care , Maria Carlshamre Sweden (love_letters)

Two weeks ago, I bit the bullet and had two fillings removed. One was
enormous, and it must have accounted for over half the mercury in my mouth. I
already feel 100 percent better. No more annoying little mental blips.

Patricia (love_letters)

I am fortunate to live in Norway, and learned about the detrimental health effects of mercury-containing amalgam fillings over 20 years ago when I was diagnosed with Morbus Crohn's disease. I had my amalgam fillings safely removed 20 years ago and replaced by composites (small fillings) and ceramic (large inlays in molars). My health drastically improved - no sign of Mb. Crohn's for the last decade, and NONE of my "alternative" fillings have needed to be replaced in those 20 years. I had my annual checkup two days ago; still no cavities or need for replacements.

Replacing my amalgam fillings with safer fillings, and doing that in a safe way, was the best investment I ever made.  Being sick is also expensive - for me, for my family and for my health insurance.

David Van Vliet Amalgam Removal:

I was diagnosed with MS 4 years ago. Symptoms included debilitating

fatigue, muscle weakness, loss of coordination, headaches, and eye strain. In my search for an alternative to BetaSeron and steroids, I was introduced to amalgam removal and Dr. Hal Huggins.

Dr. Huggins has been replacing amalgam for over 20 years. He himself has MS and had even lost the use of his left leg until his amalgam was replaced.

He has found that there are elements surrounding the removal

of the mercury fillings that, if considered, can make recovery greater.

In August, I went to the Huggins Diagnostic Center, Colorado Springs,CO,for treatment. The full treatment included methods that help the body eliminate mercury from body stores. And they stress proper nutrition, sunlight, avoidance of

heavy metal, etc. My personal improvement has enabled me to return to full time employment and to be able to walk 3 miles instead of the previous 1/3 mile. Headaches are gone as well.

I am definitely convinced there is! I am a 52 yr old housewife who was dx'd

with MS in Jan 1985. I have had 5 different neurologists and 4 different

urologists. I have had about 9 treatments of steroids (methylprednisolone)

and chemotherapy (cytoxan) from Feb 1987 to May 1993 and countless

prescription meds including antidepressants, antibiotics for bladder

infections, muscle relaxants for spasms and tremors, and I can't remember

what all else. At one point I was partially, temporarily paralyzed. The

steroids helped me walk again. The cytoxan, according to my neurologist,

was supposed to suppress my immune system and make my exacerbations fewer,

farther between and less severe. It did suppress my immune system, but my

exacerbations got closer together and more severe. I had one bladder

infection after another.

I didn't know any better at the time. But now I do. Suppressing the immune

systems is NOT the way to go. You should remove toxins from your body and

not put any more in. You should put in healthy nutrients from whole foods,

not foods processed with additives and preservatives. Help your body heal

itself. It has that ability if you don't abuse it. Linda

Surely, I must know at least 20 people alone who had adverse reactions and to have their fillings ALL removed, including their root canals. I was one of these people. In 1994 I was diagnosed with heavy amonts of mercury and yes, no doubt about it it was from the fillings. I had them ALL removed including my root canal. Then I went through detox. It was a very difficult time. But, I made it and all MS symptoms have left among the many other symptoms that go along with this poison..

Recovery from MS:

In 1982 I, suddenly had a bad pain in my left eye and went blind in that eye;

the opthalmologist (graduate of Johns Hopkins) diagnosed it as retrobuldar

neuritis. He told me it could be Multple Sclerosis. I rejected that

diagnosis. Steroids were my only option of treatment, which I also rejected.

After approx. 2 months of complete blindness, in that eye, pain had subsided

as the inflammation subsided, but nerve damage was not correctable (so they

said) After using visualization techniques, it started to clear up. (I read

many books on these techniques, and other books, like Norman Cousins,

"Anatomy of an Illness.") The doctors were amazed that I gained sight back.

(My theory was, if my brain could tell my hand, for instance, to pick

something up, and it would respond, then why couldn't my brain tell my body,

internally, to do things, as well. So, I used visualization techniques to

tell my brain to send things to blast away the scarred tissue on my optic

nerve, so the electrical impulses which allowed me to see, could get

transmitted down the nerve, once more. This did indeed work and although I

doubt I will ever get full vision back in that eye (I don't do those

techniques anymore) I can see out of my left eye, although it is like looking

through a screen, there are holes in my vision field, and colors don't look

the same anymore.

The following year, the double vision abruptly interrupted my life and spinal

taps, MRI's, and a barrage of nuerological tests "confirmed" the diagnosis of

MS. This time I endured the steroids (and the side effects.) The spinal fluid

did not show MS, but the "confirmation" was made by the double vision and the

plaque or scarring on my brain shown by the MRI's. The steroids, it is said,

do not work for everyone, but I could see the two separate images gradually

coming together as one over a period of 3 months, so the doctors claimed I

was steroid sensitive and so they did indeed work for me.

Next year, my balance was affected and rotary nystgmus (eyes move on their

own and shake constantly) set in. Again, steroids, visualization (my idea

again, doctors, of course, poo-poo'd that idea) and 2 months of time made it

go away.

Through the next few years, I endured depression (attributed to the

diagnosis) fatique, blurred vision, nervousness, anxiety, weakness in my

limbs, tingling sensations, burning sensations and various pain. (All

attributed to the MS, but I rejected steroid treatment and opted for just my

own method of treatment: distraction in the form of reckless behavior, ie,

sky diving, impulsive behavior, drinking to excess, manic behavior, etc.

It was around that time, 60 Minutes reported the amalgam/mercury story. I had

11 large amalgam fillings. My cousin was a dentist and removed all of them,

at one time, and replaced them with gold (now I wish I had opted for

composite material, but the gold doesn't seem to cause me all that many

problems). Within 10 days, I had NO more symptoms of MS! Very few people,

including my doctors and my cousin, the dentist, believed me. I didn't care,

I KNEW it was from the mercury!! (Thank God for that TV report!)

This has been a long, but educational trek. I HAVE NO DOUBT I was mercury

poisoned and still endure some after effects. I did not do any chelation, I

didn't know about it back then.

I feel extremely strong about getting the message out and making "whom ever

it is" that approves mercury use to STOP!

I would like to go back to school to become whatever I need to to get the

necessary credentials (not sure what they are, though) to do research,

writing, etc. to get paid for working against this practice of using

mercury, about which I am so passionate, interested and directly affected by.

I wish everyone affected by mercury all the best of luck in beating this

thing If there are any questions about my experiences, please send me an

email or posting and I will be glad to answer.

Sincerely,

Lisa Cochran (lisalmccoc@aol.com)

Dear Sir, Amongst the many patients I have treated over a career as a dentist

spanning almost thirty years, I have treated nine patients diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in the last six years. I have prepared them nutritionally and removed their amalgam fillings and all other metal from their mouths using the recommended protection protocols, plus an intra venous administration of ascorbate. Two of these patients lost their symptoms completely within a few days of treatment and have remained symptom free for over four years. Five have experienced a profound reduction in symptoms, allowing a normal life style once again with no further deterioration and two have a general improvement in condition though less profound, increased energy and slowing of disease progress. Stool tests before and after treatment show

2 300ugm.mercury/l stool pre treatment to as much as 1 11/2 million ugm./l three days post treatment, falling to low or no level in two months. It would

seem to me that MS would qualify as a mercury/amalgam related condition.

My health has improved a lot(MS) since I had my mercury fillings removed and had my root canals extracted. I still have MS, but my symptoms have been greatly alleviated with the removal of dental sources of poison, a strict supplement/diet regimen, mercury IV chelation using DMPS and followed by an IV vitamin/mineral replacement the day following chelation

The diseases I am suffering from, CFIDS, Systemic Candidiasis, Fibromyalgia, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, numbness and tingling in the extremities (Dx: MS in 1997 by brain MRI and symptomatology, refuted in 1997 by spinal tap) and many others, not serendipitously, represent the common suffering of 90 - 100% of the members comprising the 3 Internet lists of anti-amalgamists that I associate with. Literally hundreds of us have banned together on these lists, having found relief from years of untold suffering with these common symptoms only through the removal of amalgam fillings, subsequent heavy metals chelation, and/or the rebuilding of our ruined health through nutrition and supplementation. The symptom picture is undeniably clear, and clinical and anecdotal evidence abounds.

The thing that's really helped me of late is lipoic acid chelation ALA Andy Cutler. I've gotten rid of most of my MS symptomatology and other stuff too.

The reason I believe it is mercury is because when I took amalgams out

arthritis, fibroymyagia and skin rashes disappeared. That is enough for me.

But, I believe I have to look into possible cavitational investigation, as I

do have at least four teeth missing in the rear of my mouth, both upper and

lower. Also have a tatoo.

olympic runner recovery from amalgam poisoning

" Garpenborg _terst_lld

So, it appears that Christer Carpenborg, ( who I remember from watching olympics and also from yearly Finn Swede field & track competitions I used to go watch once to

Sweden, once in Finland at the time he used to run, also remember Swede crazy discus man Ricky Bruch yelling at the comps ) went almost completely wheelchair bound from

amalgams, and made full recovery, I remember comments he made of almost complete hair color change to bronze related to the amalgam removal, similarly, my brothers hair got very dark like mine from compleletely blond the further the poisoning progressed, and his hair has gotten also much blonder, but also has turned very prematurely partially gray after the amalgam removal, mine has not gotten back to blond, that much yet, only with heavy NAC and GSH intake it does get a little lighter, mine actually DROPPED mostly because of the backfired DMPS, so guess it really was not the best thing

to do. R.

Subject: Re: Thyroid / Adrenal Questions/Recovery

I was on Synthroid (T 4) for years....then switched to Armour (T 3 mainly, a

little T 4) Thyroid...tried virtually every other sort in between. Did much

better on the Armour. Had to decrease the dose considerably when I developed

Addison's Disease and was put on Cortef ( a form of Hydrocortisone)....this is

not uncommon, and is well documented in Endocrine texts (most of mine are at

least 7 20 years old, even my Wilson's ones. The two (thyroid and cortisone)

can have a synergistic effect when taken together.

Eventually I had to switch to timed release T 3 (cytomel) with just a bit of

Synthroid....my blood levels of thyroid were fine, but was experiencing all

sorts of "hypothyroid" problems......my body (probably due to the mercury

toxicity, at the time I assumed it was some obscure new problem caused my my

auto immune disease). Had similar problems with estrogen and cortisone for

awhile. Have a girlfriend with late stage Lyme disease that has similar

problems. As I continue to improve I hope to switch back to just plain Armour

again was so simple, inexpensive, and worked so well for years.

I'm showing remarkable progress as I'm going through mercury detox. (With

LA/DMSA/DMPS all orally) My chronic inflammation has decreased

amazingly....is like a miracle, really. Years of nightmarish atypical edema

are going away. Severe fibrocystic breast disease has virtually vanished. My

eyeglass prescription has improved 50%. And I'm an optician! Still have alot

of the "overt" signs of mercury poisoning, the weird skin flushing, odd

lesions, and the list goes on....temperature changes are still dramatic...very

little tolerance for heat or sun right now. But my auto immune problems are

so much better that it's truly like seeing a light at the end of a tunnel.

I'm actually able to sleep through the night..without getting up literally ten

times to hit the bathroom.....and the quality of sleep is so much

improved...what a difference that makes in how one feels. I've been plagued

with severe problems (chronic fatique, environmental illness allergic to

virtually anything, Myasthania Gravis, Polyglandular Auto Immune failure (lost

my ovaries, thyroid, adrenals, pituitary, part of my thymus, and so on)for

over twenty years.......so this improvement is particularly amazing to me.

The smell of perfume still drives me crazy, and I can't promise yet that I

won't "kill" someone for using "Bounce" fabric softener.....I swear, I can

smell it and get immediately ill from a mile away. But overall, life is so

much better...I used to be on an extreme rotation diet.....can now eat almost

everything.....went to Environmental Health in Dallas with WIlliam Rae close

to twenty years ago....did the shots for years, followed the whole protocol to

no avail....but now things are clearing up. (Still think the world of Dr. Rae

though he did try to help me in a truly honest and forthright fashion)

<My doctor has also given me Adrenal Cortex for my adrenals> Good luck with

that, but it did me absolutely no good. Was on the same brand, also....went

through bottles of it, eventually if just made me feel more toxic. Also tried

French manufactured IV Adrenal Cortex extract......to no avail......if your

adrenals are in a seriously weakened condition, adding thyroid can worsen

matters considerably I went into Adrenal crisis and it was NO FUN. Ended up

going to Broda Barnes M.D. , in Colorado Springs, when he was still alive, the

thyroid "guru' at the time a true gentleman and pioneer. He put me on 5 mg

prednisone (which he talks about in his book) to try to supplement my adrenals

enough that I could take the thyroid (had a huge goiter at the time, my

thyroid was so inflamed) but really didn't help until I was on a larger

replacement dose of Cortef..my adrenals were too far gone.

>Yes, I had those before amalgam removal, they are whitish patches that hurt, on the mucous membranes on the mouth, They really do hurt. I suffered from these lesions continuously for ten years since I had amalgams installed. Painful to talk or smile. Acquired reputation as a grouch. Ruined my teaching career. But pain is a potent motivator. The pain of these lesions is what drove me to search for a

cure. Consulted a dentist who said it was due to poor nutrition. Studied

nutrition and found only temporary relief as the cause was not removed.

Studied alternative medicine and learned of metal toxicity. Got metal

lesion story. Harder to rebuild my health, reputation and career. That

takes longer. Dale

Wasted to 96 pounds, suffered several bone fractures that refused to heal. Desperately searched for the cause of my illness by researching at library. Got no help from doctors. Then found out about amalgam toxicity and getting better.

I no longer experience the following symptoms:

Postural hypotension - faintness upon arising

Floaters, Dizziness and ataxia, Lichen planus

Pale lips - indicative of anemia

Dryness of eyes,Wasting and weight loss - recovered 10 lbs.

Panic attacks, Constant depression and nervousness

Constant fatigue, weakness, lack of energy

Edema, Constant hunger, Severe indigestion,

nausea, gas, and bloating, Obvious steorrhea

Brittle bones-Fractures of lower back vertebrea, ribs, both index fingers(These fractures did not heal for several years, threatening my ability to be independent)

Yes, I have had cognitive improvement since having bridge

removed and the galvanic pain is gone. Since bowel problems the past

month, I have not taken Ritlin or Lodine   I can't tolerate either; as

well as peanut butter, margerine, coffee, etc. etc. By the end of the

first week of the bowel problem, I was actually not eating much of

anything   a ground beef patty was about all I could stomach. I'm

taking lamotil which gives much relief and I don't have quite as many

cramps in my stomach. I take just a little ibuprofen when muscle pain

get bad.

Still not eating much of anything but bowels are calmed down. But

certainly I can think better and my neck mucles are much more relaxed

since I had the bridge out. Walking problems come and go as well as

very shacky hands. Heard from my med. doctor yesterday and he is

conferring with doctors they said "in the cities

St.Paul/Minneapolis" about my slightly high coproporphyrin results. They also

called in another lamotil prescription for me. I pray they come up

with the right diagnosis. Jackie

I have had the opportunity to do a vision exam on Andy Cutler in April 1999 and again in December 1999. During this time period, Andy's visual acuity improved, astigmatism dramatically reduced, crystalline lenses became clearer, sensory fusion improved and convergence improved. There was no direct treatment of any visual disorders during this time. None of these things are expected to improve with time or age. Andy had his amalgams removed in the spring of 1998 and has since been chelating

based on calculations that he did from some of the Russian literature among other sources.

Same was reported in a Finn lady's 1989 published book of her

amalgam removal experiences, where she had her

amalgams removed, and she did no chelation, just Vitamin C 5

grams a day, the lens clearing happened a bit faster even than with Andy, and as said, no chelation, just vitamin C, so the stopped mercury caused oxidation of the eye proteins and increased antioxidant intake are responsible for the improvements.

Similarly, Sam Queens Chronic Mercury toxicity book has references of Ascorbate improvements of eye parameters in relation to mercury.

Subject: Re: Mercury And Allergies

Mercury causing allergies? Naaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh. Not possible! Two allergists told me amalgam had nothing to do with it at all! That I had to go through several years of expensive, inconvenient and painful allergy treatments and then might see some relief.

Allergies are caused by immunoglobulin E to a large extent. Everybody KNOWS

mercury has nothing to do with that!

So I drilled out my fillings. Last one out on March 31.

IgE measurement before fillings came out: 636.

IgE measurement in mid June (at 10 weeks) 328.

IgE measurement on August 5th (18 weeks) 263.

IgE measurement on November 18th/98: 175.

IgE measurement on 12/16/98 129

"normal" per this lab is less than 180. Many allergic people are in the

"normal" range.

My subjective sensation of allergy does follow the numbers. I do still get

some response to outside air, but not so much.

Mercury couldn't POSSIBLY have ANYTHING to do with those numbers! In addition

to having a serious psychosomatic illness, I must be charismatic enough that the people at the laboratory who have never met me are going along in mass hysteria and imagining numbers! Couldn't POSSIBLY be due to me removing my source of mercury exposure, now could it?

Nonsarcastic note: the "average" allergy sufferer has IgE of 180. Pretty much nobody with IgE below 50 or 60 ever complains of allergies. We'll see how long that takes, but I'm betting on spring.

My subjective experience of allergy sensitivity and discomfort pretty much

tracks the numbers. Allergies brought from insane to totally disabling by tossing "sulfur foods," 1/1/97. Most of allergy and asthma eliminated by amalgamectomy..

No idea what IgE was in 1996, but if subjective experience was a guide it

must have been 3,000+.

I think in the end I can probably conclude that when my system was very fatigued or sleep deprived, I was much more likely to suffer a seizure (or jitterniess/tremors) because my seizure threshold was lower under these "extreme" circumstances. Since I had my amalgams removed I feel better overall and I've been seizure free for about 10 months now, take no more seizure medication and feel that the worst may very well be behind me. I also conclude that this has also lessened the pressure my system was under and may also contribute to the fact that I am now seizure free.

Cheers,

This is about a friend of mine just to prove a point that the teeth can have a major impact on our health. My friend is in her 60's and had her first mercury filling in her 20's, shortly after she began to have debilitating migraine headaches. She never associated this with her fillings and through the years she continued to have more fillings as her headaches increased in severity. Two years ago I had her read up on amalgam poisoning and she then opted to have all her teeth pulled. Today she is totally free of migraines after suffering for nearly 40 years. She said she had forgotten how good life can be. It should be a criminal offense to cause someone this kind of needless suffering. Linda G. maggierae@earthlink.net

a few months back I was ready to remove my last two amalgams from under crowns when I discovered a rather large amalgam tattoo in the front of my mouth. As I did not have the financial resouces to remove both I asked your opinion about which was most harmful to my health and you recommended I remove the tattoo first. I must share with you the results of removing the tatto which to me has been phenominal. My brain fog has completely cleared up and my energy is greatly improved; so much so that I no longer feel such great urgency to remove the amalgam remaining under those two crowns. I'm intend to do this very soon but I am thrilled with the results of removing the tattoo. Nearly ALL my symptoms went away after amalgams were out - I

noticed the difference (felt more "myself" than I had in years) when about 2/3 of the way through -- I had many many amalgams - something like 17 or more. Over 8 years of illness I had the same as everyone else: chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, hypothyroid, Candida, food allergies from Leaky Gut,

etc. These changed and morphed into each other over time - I didn't have them all when I finally got the amalgams removed, which I did when mental symptoms (extreme forgetfulness) began to scare me. Since removal, my energy level and general feeling of wellness have improved dramatically.

Food "allergies" improve every year -- still can't handle sugar and a few other things, and have a persistent exfoliating rash clearly connected to gut problems -- L-Glutamine helps with that. I'd like to tell anyone who is wavering (as I did for 2 years, not wanting to face the expensive facts) - GET THEMOUT, you will be SO GLAD YOU DID!!

I have suffered chronic health problems for a very long time. I finally decided that an old root canal was problematic. After the removal of the infected root canal with amalgam and a crown, right next to a gold inlay, the symptoms that I used to have just faded away and have not returned. It took a long time for the gum to heal afer the root canal was extracted, it left quite a big hole. I'm going to have a flexite 1 tooth bridge put there. I had chronic fatigue, fibromyalgian, candida, loss of fine motor coordination. After having my fillings replaced I have found sauna to help with detox. It clears my mind and helps after a chemical exposure to restore my energy level and reduce the fibromyalgia. The sauna releases toxins and as these enter the bloodstream and leave through the skin, you'll experience symptoms again as you get rid of the merucry. My improvement has been both short-term and long-term. I have gradually gotten much better over the past eight years.

I had two teeth replaced with porcelain and jelenko gold. My ulgy symptoms of depression & anxiety came back. Checking out my newly arrived bio-compatibility test results, ironically neither product was on my recommended list. Both teeth had to be replaced at the dentist's expense.

Following removal the symptoms lifted. Porcelain has 16% aluminum in it. Replacement materials must be matched to the person. Dr. Farris has had good luck, with his sensitive patients using Herculite and unstained Dicor for the molars. You want composites that x-ray like a natural tooth (least

I have for the last 10 years or so of my 22+ years of practice

worked with amalgam free dentists..helping their patients detox from mercury..post amalgam removal. I think my very sickest patient was one two years ago who had had 1/2 half of her amalgams replaced with gold..leaving the right upper and lower..still filled with mercury. In less than four

months, her health was destroyed, literally. When they first brought her to me...she had to be carried in...and after each removal session..it was the same..although after the last and work with myself and an energy therapist who works with me...she did walk out.

I don't had mercury poisoning from my dental fillings (+vaccines). I had my (17)fillings removed and replaced about 9 years ago.. A chiropractor/nutritionist (who had had his own Mercury fillings out) did bioenergetic testing which tested for 5 forms of mercury. I tested positive on 4 of the 5. (He said testing positive on 5 basically meant I was dead.) After much research, some supplementation, and a test for least reactive replacement materials (via mail by Huggins Diagnostic) I went to WI (my sis lives there)to have the work done because I couldn't find anyone in OK who would do it right.

My symptoms of mercury poisoning included weighing only 82 pounds (5'6", natural weight 110#), loss of memory, loss of ability to spell (simple words like here and hear), cold hands and feet, metallic taste in the mouth, pain in the throat and lungs when breathing deeply or in cold air, leaky gut, chronic fatigue (drag home from work and try to decide if I had the energy to shower or not!),among other things...

I consider myself in good health now. In the last year,I have had NAET treatments for dairy, mercury, nickel, aluminum, silver, copper, chromium, magnesium, tin, (one other metal which I don't recall at the moment), MMR, chlorine, fluoride, my own blood, a hormone (can't remember if she decided to do estrogen or progesterone first), and will do several more.

I had numbness, tingling and sensations of ants crawling on the left side

of my body. I thought I had MS. I had an MRI and nothing showed up. I found

out about the dental connection and at first did not believe it,but after

having them removed I knew it was true. I had 3 gold mixed crowns on the top

left side and on the bottom left side I had a root canal and a full nickel

mixed crown. It was after the last metal crown in 1997 that I went down hill fast. I had fibromalygia for 23 years and now chronic fatigue and have just found out I have mycoplasma fermentans incognitus infection. I asked my Dr. which came first the toxicity or the infection and she said the toxicity

suppressing my immune system and damaging my central nervous system. I am lucky to be alive.

I had a hair analysis done that did not show high mecury. I did a

fecal test and it showed very high mercury. I did not do the challange test

at all.

I’m certain it was my dental fillings causing my symptoms because they all

dissappeared 3 weeks after removal, except for the fatigue.

Recently had all (8) amalgams removed completely along with six

extractions under general anaesthetic last week   took nearly four hours aparently,

and I sure didn't feel too good last week ...

but now, WHAT A DIFFERENCE already. My vision is improving, morning ******

migraines have vanished, much less muscular pain, clarity of thought is returning

long way to go and I did promise myself to be patient and cautious but I

really can tell a big differance already (less than ten days!).

The whole thing was done under Hal Huggin's "protocol"   I was very

impressed with the equipment (very high tech stuff), knowledge and care, EVEN MORE

impressed with the sudden relief of some symptoms. I have even noticed my left

nostril is easing (after nearly five years of being blocked) and my sense of smell

is also returning. Generally feeling stronger and "sharper".

Hi all   I have had six of my 10 amalgam fillings out so far and boy do I

feel really great!! First time I have been able to say this in years and

years   I even feel better than I did before I got my chemical injury

summer 96! How cool!! I even was able to muster a little Christmas

shopping tonight dealing with people smoking and perfume and all the

synthetic Christmas smellies and I also went to Kinko's   and NO

REACTIONS!!! I actually feel like I can someday be well. I never

realized the inpact that my mercury had on me. Was talking to someone

the other day and realized that I started getting really depressed the

same year I started getting fillings. But then that was also the year I

got my period so maybe the mercury has nothing to do with it.

Anyway   I guess I am babbling but I just wanted to share my fabulous

Consider having mercury removed from the teeth. I did, and got rid of

considerable depression and memory problems. It also eliminated many

illnesses and fatigue, as well as allergy symptoms.

I had amalgam removed, and had immediate relief from many distressing

problems, including very expensive allergies. In fact, my antihistamine

budget of one thousand dollars per year and increasing yearly, has more

than paid for the cost of amalgam removal since 1990. My antihistamine

budget dropped to nearly nothing almost immediately, huge stress levels

were reduced, short term memory problems were drastically reduced, and I

could eat all the citrus I wanted without lichen outbreaks.

Long term memory was not affected. Short term memory had become so poor

that I had to often look at a phone number seven times while dialing. I

also often went back into the house for something I had forgotten, only

to realize that I had forgotten what I went back in there for, sometimes

requiring three trips back in before I got the forgotten item!

The problem disappeared with amalgam removal.

There is unquestionably a link between Crohn's, colitis and other

diseases of the bowel and amalgams. Several people on this list have reported

over the years recovering from these diseases by having amalgams removed. I'm

one of them. I had colitis from 1989 to spring 1991. In April and May 1991 I

had 14 amalgams removed. By July 1991 the colitis was gone. During some

stressful times later in 1991, I had brief recurrences of colitis, but have

had none since. My theory is that the intestines in some people can only be

exposed to so much poison before they begin to develop chronic diarhea and

eventually chronic bleeding.

I am definitely convinced there is a connection between MS and mercury! I am a 52 yr old housewife who was dx'd with MS in Jan 1985. I have had 5 different neurologists and 4 different urologists. I have had about

9 treatments of steroids (methylprednisolone) and chemotherapy (cytoxan) from Feb 1987 to May 1993 and countless prescription meds including antidepressants, antibiotics for bladder infections, muscle relaxants for spasms and tremors, and I can't remember what all else. At one point I was partially, temporarily paralyzed. The

steroids helped me walk again. The cytoxan, according to my neurologist, was supposed to suppress my immune system and make my exacerbations fewer, farther between and less severe. It did suppress my immune system, but myexacerbations got closer together and more severe. I had one bladder infection after another.

I didn't know any better at the time. But now I do. Suppressing the immune systems is NOT the way to go. You should remove toxins from your body and not put any more in. You should put in healthy nutrients from whole foods, not foods processed with additives and preservatives. Help your body heal itself. It has that ability if you don't abuse it.

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

Recovery from MS:

In 1982 I, suddenly had a bad pain in my left eye and went blind in that eye;

the opthalmologist (graduate of Johns Hopkins) diagnosed it as retrobuldar

This did indeed work and although I

doubt I will ever get full vision back in that eye (I don't do those

techniques anymore) I can see out of my left eye, although it is like looking through a screen, there are holes in my vision field, and colors don't look the same anymore.

The following year, the double vision abruptly interrupted my life and spinal taps, MRI's, and a barrage of nuerological tests "confirmed" the diagnosis of MS. This time I endured the steroids (and the side effects.) The spinal fluid did not show MS, but the "confirmation" was made by the double vision and the plaque or scarring on my brain shown by the MRI's. The steroids, it is said, do not work for everyone, but I could see the two separate images gradually coming together as one over a period of 3 months, so the doctors claimed I was steroid sensitive and so they did indeed work for me. Next year, my balance was affected and rotary nystgmus (eyes move on their own and shake constantly) set in. Again, steroids, visualization (my idea again, doctors, of course, poo-poo'd that idea) and 2 months of time made it go away.

I had 11 large amalgam fillings. My cousin was a dentist and removed all of them, at one time, and replaced them with gold (now I wish I had opted for

composite material, but the gold doesn't seem to cause me all that many

Sincerely, Lisa Cochran (lisalmccoc@aol.com)

excuse my poor English. I Was born 1954 Denmark. -In 1960 I got the first amalgam. Down to 1990 I got 15 amalgams! In 1978 first MS symptoms( paralyzed right leg ).

By 1982 MS worse ( ~ all legs and arms damaged )

In 1990 I got amalgam out; without protection, but no problems. I got 8 Gold crowns. In 1995 met Dr. Monrow ( from Breakspear Hospital , London ) She told me: MS is a breaktion of the body of heavy metal .I got: antyoxidanties and much Multivitamin.

In 1997 I met Dr. Frank Liebke ( about 1985 he had worked in Los Dallamos to

detox People after Atomic bomb.) Here I met cinesiologie.I got tested about

Medizin, Materials , DMPS ,... I got 6 x DMPS chelations. Then Chlorellaalges ( 2 x 5 g )

In 1999 I replaced all Gold .

In 2000 I got tested, using ceramic ( Empress II glued with ketac molar)

Now I feel fine!!!!!

The Alzheimer Disease symptoms experienced at age 49 (loss of sentence thread, failure to remember names of family members and friends, inability to remember why I was doing things, etc.) miraculously disappeared overnight when a recent Amalgam filling was removed from above an old Amalgam filling (actually all

Amalgam was removed at one sitting).

Galvanism between new #2 ( 11mv) and old #31 (+2mv) not only increased the Hg vaporization, but it also overloaded the thought process / body electric.

I'm showing remarkable progress as I'm going through mercury detox. (With LA/DMSA/DMPS all orally) My chronic inflammation has decreased amazingly....is like a miracle, really. Years of nightmarish atypical edema are going away. Severe fibrocystic breast disease has virtually vanished. My eyeglass prescription has improved 50%. And I'm an optician! Still have alot

of the "overt" signs of mercury poisoning, the weird skin flushing, odd lesions, and the list goes on....temperature changes are still dramatic...very little tolerance for heat or sun right now. But my auto immune problems are so much better that it's truly like seeing a light at the end of a tunnel.

I'm actually able to sleep through the night..without getting up literally ten times to hit the bathroom.....and the quality of sleep is so much improved...what a difference that makes in how one feels. I've been plagued with severe problems (chronic fatique, environmental illness allergic to virtually anything, Myasthania Gravis, Polyglandular Auto Immune failure (lost my ovaries, thyroid, adrenals, pituitary, part of my thymus, and so on)for over twenty years.......so this improvement is particularly amazing to me.

The smell of perfume still drives me crazy, and I can't promise yet that I won't "kill" someone for using "Bounce" fabric softener.....I swear, I can smell it and get immediately ill from a mile away. But overall, life is so much better...I used to be on an extreme rotation diet.....can now eat almost everything. ....went to Environmental Health in Dallas with WIlliam Rae close

to twenty years ago....did the shots for years, followed the whole protocol to

no avail....but now things are clearing up. (Still think the world of Dr. Rae though he did try to help me in a truly honest and forthright fashion)

2 years post amalgam removal am feeling pretty good; (although I still have a lot of allergy/hypersensitivity, and have to watch it on the diet to keep the blood sugar relatively stable, keep the candida under control and the digestion working etc. etc.) I think I have made it through the worst (I hope).

I just want to say "thanks" to everyone who contributes to the list; I have learned a lot and it has been helpful and interesting; I hope to check in now and then by reading the archives (can one do that when one is no longer on the

list?); and perhaps in the future if I have more time, (or if I ever get HBOT!) may sign back on to check in

I have tried to take the conservative approach and avoid the dmps/dmsa on Ray's advice; I think it was a good decision as I am super chemically sensitive; and I think it is great that he (and others) share in educating each other on this list; before I got on the list, I think I was getting a little brainwashed by doctors and dentists who were trying to get me to take

dmps without educating me on the dangers of it. Incidentally, a friend of mine took numerous shots of dmps; at first seemingly with no apparent side effects (except one time she collapsed on the floor and couldn't get up for two hours; she attributed that to having the dmps too close to an amalgam replacement). But about a year into the dmps treatments her entire health

profile deteriorated significantly. So I much appreciated what I learned here and what negative results were probably avoided.

The oxygen topic is very relevent; and while HBOT does not appear to be in my near future, I've tried to take Ray's advice once again and go for short walks in the fresh air as much as possible; and yes it is one of the most healing things you can do, it seems. In addition, I've mentioned numerous times here

about how drinking kefir daily is incredibly helpful for the candida problem, and highly recommend it! Especially if you can get your hands on raw milk and make it raw, not pasteurized; the instructions are available in a booklet called The Magic of Kefir, by Donna Gates. Also she wrote an excellent book

called The Body Ecology Diet; I have finally gotten to the point where I am practicing her food combining recommendations as much as I can (it takes some discipline); and am finding excellent results in improved digestion, significantly less bloating, and calming of some autoimmune stuff, such as eczema, and better attitude. I know this diet isn't for everyone; people with

food addictions may look at it and say, "I can't do that" ; but I think it is worth looking at and trying to move one's diet into the direction that the book describes. the premise is that shifting your body's ph to the desired ph level through diet will help to heal many autoimmune problems and candida problems.

Also I went through a period of serious sensitivity to hot and cold in some of my teeth where amalgams were replaced with heliomolar. After a second replacement with heliomolar that didn't help, I got a cerec II crown put on the worst tooth; initially I didn't think that was helping; but over time, and

with tmj treatment, it has calmed significantly and is barely a problem anymore. And finally I have to say that I take numerous supplements on the recommendations of an orthomolecular biologist and I think it has helped a lot (have been doing that for 3 years). Especially important for me have been

antioxidants, including grape seed extract (used to get terrible nosebleeds often; knock on wood; haven't had one probably in 8 mos), vit E, CoQ10, vit C (really helps calm my allergic reactions). Also essential fatty acids such as flax/borage oil seem crucial to keep down the inflammation and nerve and joint

pain, as well as help the skin and hair. Ginkgo seems to have helped the brain fog a lot; I have read that a 12 week course is recommended before one decides whether it is helping or not. Others that have helped me: Calcium, magnesium, zinc, molybdenum, glutathione, B6, and folic acid. Kyolic garlic liquid and a good acidophilus (I take Dr. Dophilus; it is supposed to survive

the stomach acids well) have helped the candida problem, as well as an herbal product called Kolorex (it's an herb called pseudowintera colorata). Took B12 shots for a while and it helped a lot with my energy level and fibromyalgia

pain. Then after several mos. at one shot a week (5cc) my eyelids started to twitch and then I started getting severe terrible pain from them at the site of injection so it was time to stop. Luckily my eyelids stopped twitching; so I guess that is one that has to be used cautiously; as Ray has indicated.

I have found the recent comments about chlorine and taurine interesting; ever since I have been seeing the orthomolecular biologist, who uses something similar to a Vega machine in treating his patients, he has had me taking taurine, and I swim regularly in a chlorinated pool. He also feels taurine

is helpful in detoxing mercury. He has also had me on various amounts of selenium; a lot during and shortly after the amalgam replacement; currently just 200 mcg a day.

I agree with you that mercury is a major factor in allergies. I had rashes on my hands for almost 40 years ( a real curse for a nurse) , as soon as the mercury was removed I had no further problems. I can also attest to seasonal allergies( including asthmatic symptoms) which were greatly reduced. There

is no question in my mind ,I learned first hand, what had caused a lot of my problems. Depression was also radically relieved, such that I haven't been bothered since.

Good health, Marilyn

******************************************************

I believe we have so many detox failures because the treating physician doesn't realize how sick the person is and trys drastic measures to detox the person before their system is ready to handle such. Detox (is a slow process) should be a gradual procedure beginning with building up the person's immune defenses by strengthening their weakened organs first... I did it this way and many of my allergic & chemical sensitivites beame a thing of the past.

To my knowledge, I was taught that Mercury depletes Sulfur in our system. Sulphur is needed for all our systems to function. That is why so many systems become affected. I'm sorry you had a bad experience with sulphur. I would question if you aren't an exception to the rule. I know many people who have improved by eating sulphur based foods. I've presently been prescribed MSM a sulphur basd product in conjunction with Vit C.( the vitamin tends to enhance its action). I also was previously given 7 DMPS

injections and as many EDTA treatments during my recovery period and I certainly felt they were advantageous. One of my treating doctors did emphasize that we can not detox too fast or we can get into serious trouble. A good doctor acquainted with the benefits of homeopathic remedies was very

valuable in my case because he was able to draw the various metals out in a gentle manner which didn't overtax my cardiac system. Another thing this doctor insisted upon doing, was to build up my immune system first, before even attempting to remove the metals. I found Cilantro is another product excellent for the brain.

I was very blessed having been led to the right doctors at the right time. Detox cannot commence until all the metal has been removed from the mouth. REMOVE THE SOURCE FIRST. Marilyn

I'm 51 now, and had amalgams since I was 12. I remember to have

irregular heartbeats when I went to bed since I was 20. This happened during my whole life and was a source of uncertainty and fear for my existence. I studied medicine and thought maybe its from imagination as all medical students have. But I never was sure I had no severe heartdisease. In 1995 1996 I have all my amalgams removed for composite and started decontaminate myself from mercury what I still do. Since 1996 the irregular heartbeats stopped and never returned. My insecurity about my heartfunction and about my life ended also. My impression was that the constant flow of poisonous mercury ions caused the improper function of the sinus node in the left atrium. The mercury had poisoned my nerve system during 30 years of my life, that's

what I'm almost sure of. Hans de Jonge

I have a daughter who was diagnosed as having "acute PMS"

, depression, hysteria, paranoia and others. She was borderline suicidal when she was introduced to Hal Huggins book. She made the decission to have her mouth cleared of amalgams. She had 18 amalgam fillings of varying size. She went through a short detox of about six months. This was three years ago.

Results: She and her family much prefer her current personality. Her depression, hysteria and paranoia have [as far as I can observe] disappeared totally. Is this because she wanted to get better and it's all in her head???

I don't know. The fact that she is 'apparently' much healthier and void of all the other bad symptoms is enough for me to say that removing the amalgams had a positive effect regardless of whether psychological or biological

Ten years ago I had two large amalgams placed. Within a year I couldn't remember what I was in the middle of doing. It was hard to balance a check book; balancing the books for a regional organization I was treasurer of was incredibly frustrating.

After being hospitalized, having the amalgams out and being treated I was able to return to grad school. I'm finishing a master's in public administration (3.95 gpa) and starting a PhD in economics. HUGE improvement. However, it has been a tremendous struggle financially, emotionally and mentally.

Seven years ago, after a long period of problems I was sent to an oral surgeon to have my gums cut back. I had large, bleeding pockets, 7, 8, & 9 mm pockets, in my mouth with substantial bone loss. On a hunch, I skipped the surgeon's recommendations for immediate surgery, and found a mercury-free dentist. As a last resort I had all of the metal in my mouth removed and replaced with plastic composite fillings and ceramic crowns.

You may have guessed that my gums healed up immediately after the new restorations were placed. The bleeding stopped. No more anesthesia before hour-long scalings. No more scalings, period. Not only do I still have my teeth (much to my surprise and the dentist's chagrin) but the irritated gums around the teeth and extraction sites have healed nearly entirely. The big pockets are now 3, 4 & 5 mm in size. My teeth are also much whiter and cleanings take about 10 minutes. The hygienist is astounded.

I've gotten rid of most of my MS symptomatology and other stuff too.

my situation is much better than before I had my amalgams replaced. There was another bad period, in August, but at this point (approximately 15 months after amalgam removal) the heart symptoms have almost disappeared, most other symptoms are improving a great deal, and energy levels are much more satisfactory - though still far from normal. I'm definitely going in the right direction and am beginning to think that there's hope of a full recovery somewhere down the line.

> Many of my patients reported the lifting of depression, anxiety, moodiness within a very short time of the total mercury decontamination of their mouths. I do not know the mechanism for that, and I am reporting this point so that those able to study the link between psychiatric illness and mercury would tell me one day what the mechanism is. The question here is that mercury, though out of the mouth, is not out of the brain in such a short time (two wks.) so, could these psychiatric illnesses be caused by the galvanic currents alone? I do not know.

Virtually 100% of the dozens of patients I’ve had suffering depression improve within 2 wks. One patient, who was depressed before amalgam removal, told me today that shw now has a positive attitude to life that she did not have before, and that she feels like a child! Kindest regards. Hesham. DDS

I had lunch yesterday with my dentist, whose name I will

not mention here (you'll see why in a minute.)

He is a remarkable man. He became mercury free after he

contracted leukemia and subsequently was cured by Dr. Hans

Nieper, who told him to have all his amalgams removed and

his root canals pulled.

He said that the ADA has stepped up the intensity of its

campaign to discredit and destroy mercury free dentists.

I've had clinical depression all my life, I've taken Prozac and Wellbutrin for years (I tried a couple of others as well). Now after mercury detox almost all of my depression has gone.

I had 14 amalgams in my mouth and I also suspect that I was also exposed to mercury at a very young age through industrial contamination of my fathers clothes. He used to come home from work with an oily smell on his clothes and I think he was contaminated by an oil he used at work that contained

mercury.

I had my amalgams all out using a dentist friend of mine in Mexico City (it also cost allot less). After having them removed I did feel better, but, It took me 8 months or so to realise I needed professional help and chelation.

I've had 9 treatments with DMPS and can only say that the affect has been almost miraculous. There are numerous symptoms disappearing, some I didn't even know I suffered from such as slow walking. I walk 3 times faster now and have to consciously think about slowing down. The other day I ran up a huge flight of escalator stairs at the train station. I could not do this

before chelation. I can only think that my muscle chemistry has changed some how with the lessening burden of mercury in my body. I type allot faster than I did before, which, is particularly important considering I'm a computer programmer. I could go on and on, but, the depression is the big symptom that's gone. I know this sounds corny but, there has been such a change in my personality that my wife has fallen in love with me all over

again. She has noticed a huge change in me since chelation started, and that's from her telling me, not me asking her.

Since I had my amalgam fillings replaced and have been treated with DMPS my depression disappeared, my language skills have improved (even in Spanish),

I'm less shy (as you can tell by my posting here), memory has vastly improved, and I don't need Ritalin for my ADD. Clearly mercury has been leaving the brain. I haven't noticed any increase of neural symptoms either. The only studies I need is to look at my own symptemology. Glen

Now that I am finally free from the itching that almost drove me crazy, my everyday life is cheerful, joyous, and comfortable. I am filled with happiness and gratitude. But, to be truly honest, I still feel vexed and angry about what happened to me.

In the winter when I was 19, I all of a sudden started to itch all over my body. It was really abrupt. I literally scratched myself from head to toe and to the extent that there was no spot left unscratched. My skin was smeared with blood. My condition seemed hopeless. I had no idea that amalgam, used in my dental treatment when I was 17 years old, was the cause of my condition.

My neighbour introduced me to Dr. Kohdera and my painful struggle with atopic dermatitis started. Dr Kohdera was very different from the other doctors I knew. He was really enthusiastic, and told me:-"If you find the cause of your problem, it will surely be cured." Hearing this, I made up my mind to follow him no matter what. Back then my skin was in the worst possible condition, so crumbled up and raw that a patch test was impossible. The result of a blood test (Lymphocyte Proliferation Test) showed that I was highly allergic to dental amalgam.I was immediately referred to the Osaka University Hospital to have my dental fillings removed and I waited to see the result.

I had the amalgam fillings removed from my teeth, was careful about mites and what to eat, used alkali ion water, was careful about cleaning the house, looked at every aspect of daily life in connection with atopic dermatitis, hoping that I would be cured. I was slowly getting better but couldn't quite forget about itching and every day was painful..

Then one day I had a terrible toothache. One year and eight months prior to this, I had my amalgam filling removed to get rid of the cause of the atopic dermatitis, but the teeth were left unfilled since there was no dental material fit to use (in order to prevent allergic symptoms), and those teeth developed cavities! I went back to the same dentist who had removed the amalgam filling and had an Xray of all my teeth. Then, two amalgam fillings were discovered in my mouth that had been believed to be amalgam free! Since they were my wisdom teeth, I had them extracted. But the discovery was shocking. Two months after the extraction, my skin became amazingly smooth. It was as though the bad substance was draining from my body. The pain that had haunted me day and night was suddenly lifted from me and I could sleep like a baby and get up feeling fine. It was such a quick recovery that I wondered if I really did have atopic derinatitis after all. The better I got the more I realized that the biggest cause, after all, was the two amalgam fillings forgotten in my teeth. As I realized this, I wanted an apology from my dentist, who overlooked those amalgam fillings.

I am really happy that I met Dr Kohdera*, who gave me constant support regardless of my condition.

I was diagnosed with interstitial cystitis, which is an inflammation of the bladder wall. I had my fillings removed about 2 months ago, and slowly, my entire body is going back into order. All my fatigue, depression, stomach problems, and other symptoms are disappearing. My bladder is getting better day by day and I am 100% confident that over then next year I will become competely healthy. I am taking very good vitamins and natural chelators so I think that is helping. I can almost feel hte metal moving through my body, especially in my neck.

. I know that my kidneys have been effected, which are very closely linked to all of the urinary functions. I also know that a lot of urinary problems can lead to infertility in some people. So I really think that somehow all of this can be linked to the reproductive system.

Also, another huge thing that is slowly correcting itelf in my body is my hormone function. My

hormones were sooooo disrupted...excessive sweating, body odor... and now that has all gone

away too. . Removing my fillings has saved my life. In fact, even mt allergies are starting to go away, and I was allergic to everything!! Abby Wilcox <abbywilcox@HOTMAIL.COM>

I can testify to the Crohn's disease and MS disease and relief of same after amalgam replacement and zapping. . In my experience, when a doctor admits that the diseases are no longer found {CURED}, they will not admit it; but prefer to say that there must have been a mistake in diagnosis. I shrunk a nodule on my lung with the zapper and herbs in 1995/6. The last two xrays showed NO nodule. When I asked the doctor about the preceeding 5 or 6 xrays over a period of a year, he said, "they must have been mistakes!" HAH.

]I had a great deal of pain in a breast. Cancer? We'll never know because I learned to zap each breast. There are specific instructions. A few hours of this zapping and I've not had the pain since. You can even zap your entire spine. I did, and I truly believe the MS symptoms began to dissapear then. Gradually, all MS symptoms were gone. My last exacerbation was about one year ago. I have only been able so far to find one very capable dentist. He uses a composite that has no metal. He calls himself a "Metal Free" dentist. He does not waste time trying to charm the patient but does a dedicated job. All I know who get the job done by him get well almost immediately.I have been relieved of about thirty ailments which I attributed to old age. The first things I noticed were my hearing in my left ear opened up, dizziness left and the allergy to dish soap is gone. I can now wash dishes without wearing rubber gloves. I have counted about 32 ailments that have left me with getting dental revision.

My husband has been blessed to receive treatment from the Metal Free Dentist too. The first things we noticed about my husband was good skin color returning within a few hours. the relief from a 6 year rash that had been making him miserable. we both have energy now which came back within the day..Our memories are good now. We just feel an all over greater feeling of well being and calmness and absolutely more patience.

Now our daughter is going through revision. All of us found immediate relief at the first visit and after each visit we got even better.

I have suffered dysfunction and later very ill health most of my life (now 47) symptoms beginning from around age 11, not long after my first amalgams

were placed. My many problems over years of disability included fatigue, brain fog, arthritis, depression, memory loss, etc. Tests have shown high Hg levels, and I had many of the classical CNS and other symptoms of chronic exposure. I wish to report adverse reactions to mercury amalgams. I believe there are loads of people out there who have had problems with mercury amalgams which maybe never get reported. So, I would like for you to know that I am a recovering mercury patient, having been diagnosed with "toxic effects of mercury", in Fall of 1998 after

consulting with and being tested by multiple health care people. At the time, I had multiple health problems including chronic pain, neurological, immunological , gastrointestinal, hormonal and other difficulties, all of which had been developing over a period of years. I had no significant source of mercury other than many many mercury amalgams, acquired over a lifetime. After extensive treatments to remove the amalgams, detox the body and such  the road to healing from mercury is long and arduous  I am doing quite splendidly now, moving along nicely on the path to robust good health. i just celebrated one year of being amalgam free.

I have had amalgam fillings   17 in total   for thirthy years now. Both my children are very allergic to a lot of different foodtypes. No one in both the families has ever had

food allergy. I have found out that my own medical problems come from a mercury and lead intoxication, after a clever therapist took a urine sample and tested it for heavy metals.

My complaints: a heavy tremor, loss of concentration, headaches, lessened

eye sight, tachycardia (about 20 bpm increase in rest) and depression.

I now wear glasses, and I have started a detoxification program. It immediately

improved my concentration and I was less depressed, and was able to work a bit

better than I had done before. I am on sick leave for 20 months now, and have

resumed work part time after five months of complete sick leave because of my

"unexplained" medical condition. I have plans to have my amalgams replaced.

I would like to state for the record that I am one of the increasing number of people who are becoming aware that their illnesses are directly attributable to mercury poisoning from dental amalgam. After many years of increasing symptoms and finally reaching a point of debilitation, it took several years before I had tests and was finally diagnosed with severe mercury toxicity. I am now in the process of having all amalgams removed and replaced. The symptoms I have suffered as a result of mercury toxicity are severe fatigue, immune suppression, severe multiple type allergies, severe dermatitis, hormonal disruption, breathing difficulty, gastrointestinal problems including ulcers and disbiosis, low blood pressure, abnormal heart rhythms, severe hypoglycemia, low thyroid, anemia, anxiety and depression. I am now 53 years old. I see in my children now symptoms of mercury toxicity  due I believe to mercury toxicity which I would have passed to them in utero and also through breast feeding as well as due to that mercury they received from vaccines and, of course, their own amalgam fillings. I am seeing in my siblings symptoms as well. The critical point is that the amount and severity of the symptoms coincides with the amount of amalgam fillings they have.

In 1985 I became life threateningly ill with no medical reason that any doctor could identify. I had equilibrium problems, visual problems, weakness, memory loss, concentration loss, stomach motility, dizziness, kidney pain, urinary problems, systemic yeast, breathing problems. I had to quit working. I could not manage to cross a street, finally could not go up stairs in my own home.

At the age of 45 I was an invalid.. I made a will. A friend referred me to a nutritionist/biochemist. It was determined that my 16 amalgam fillings, 2 of which had been placed recently, were responsible. I had these fillings replaced by Herculite composites. By the 3rd set of removals, my eyes were no longer crossed for first half hour of each day. By the 4th removals, my visual field problems disappeared. ONE HOUR AFTER THE REMOVALS. I went back to work. After months of detox, I regained much of my strength. My memory loss was reversed. I joined DAMS as a coordinator. My son developed psoriasis a few years ago. When questioned as to when the psoriasis outbreak occurred in relation to any major dental work, he replied he had a root canal done and the psoriasis broke out within a week or two after. He confirmed with his DDS that an amalgam was installed after the root canal. Then, a gold crown was installed on top of the amalgam. When he had the root canal redone and removed the rest of his amalgams followed by detox, his psoriasis went away.

I was diagnosed two years ago with mercury toxicity and have urine tests through Doctor's Data Laboratories that continue to show high levels of mercury. I have been getting chelation treatments since I was diagnosed, consisting of a shot of DMPS every month to rid my body of this extremely harmful substance. These high levels of mercury could ONLY have come from the 18 amalgam restorations I had for so many years (since replaced, at a cost to me and my father of $4000)) because I have had no other significant exposure to Hg at any time in my life.

BEULAH BRAKE Emotional and Mental Disorders

My mother in law was 82 years old in August 1992. For the past few years, Medicare and private insurance

paid an average of $10,000 for each of several 30 day visits to a psychiatric hospital.

In addition, they covered her weekly visits to physicians and a multitude of medication. Needless to say, as her caretakers, we have had some terrible experiences and she became a tremendous burden.

In March of 1988, a tooth with a large silver amalgam filling broke. The filling was replaced with a composite. Within 24 hours her personality began to change. The difference was so dramatic that we decided to have her other two amalgam fillings replaced. ' She had less than $500 worth of dental work. Now she only

needs to see a physician four times a year and her medication has been reduced to one pill a day. Her quality of life has improved and so has ours.

That $500 of dental work was not covered by insurance or Medicare, but it has saved untold thousands of insurance and taxpayer's dollars.

ALICE KITSON Chronic Infections

For four years, Alice Kitson went from doctor to doctor, desperately searching for the key to what she calls a living nightmare. With infection after infection, the health of the young woman   a new mother with a toddler in tow – was mysteriously plummeting. She became unable to care for her children; she couldn't drive; she

had to quit her job. Alice, 36, became convinced it indeed was "all in her head,” as some doctors suggested.

But she and her doctor believe her system was poisoned by the tiny amount of toxic metal mertury contained in what she and 100 million to 200 million other Americans have in their mouths: ordinary dental

fillings. So called silver amalgam fillings, in use for 150 years, are 50 percent mercury. Alice had been forced to quit the work she loved as a rehabilitation facility director because she could no longer trust herself to drive, could not even remember how she got to work.

"I was a couch vegetable," Alice says. Some doctors blamed it all on stress, but she had one sinus and respiratory infection after another and her strength waned.

"Can you imagine having strep for three years?" Alice asked. Doctors thought Alice had Epstein Barr.

A barrage of antibiotics further weakened Alice's immune system. She fell prey to a systemic yeast infection and developed allergic reactions to nearly everything in her environment, including 85 foods.

After amalgam removal, Alice is gradually resuming a normal life. She is driving again but is not back to work. She must avoid perfume and cigarette smoke. She no longer needs allergy shots. She has found some homeopathic remedies helpful, but still tires easily. "For three years, I felt guilty because my kids had a vegetable

mom...I used to say I had bad days and worse days. Now, I have bad days and good days."

In October 1998 I had a 4 surface mercury filling placed in one of my

upper left molars. Less than two weeks later I developed uveitis in my

right eye. Not putting two and two together, I began to search for the

cause of my recurrent uveitis (it reoccurred about 3 more times),

photophobia, onset of migraines, unexplained joint pains, numbness in

extremities, severe depression, mental confusion. Coincidentally, and

cluelessly, during the time my uveitis was recurrent, I revisited the

dentist about 3 more times for more mercury fillings to be placed.

About a year and a half later, and 13 doctors who could not diagnose

me with anything, I put two and two together and realized that the

only significant change in my life when I had my first attack of

uveitis was that I had had dental work. Thus began my research into so

called "silver fillings." What I learned of course astounded me and I

immediately resolved to remove all of my silver fillings. THE BEST DECISION

I HAVE EVER MADE. As of two days ago, I had the last of my mercury fillings removed and I am optimistic about my recovery. I have felt better than I have

felt in the last 2 years and have probably prolonged my life expectancy.

I had serious problems with dental mercury. In two instances, within 2 days to a week after having a large mercury silver filling placed, I got electrical current like feelings in my hands and feet. The second time, they didn't disappear.

So I had all my fillings removed, replaced with plastic fillings, and all the current like feelings disappeared over a period of time.

Also, I had a Hg urine test done through my environmental M.D., and was toxic by 18 times the normal amount of Hg found in an adult of the U.S. After a year of chelation, it's come way down. Mercury poisoning from teeth fillings is real.

I have been extremely ill from long term exposure to dental amalgam, luckely a

friend one time told me to look for mercury poisoning as a possible cause for so

many a problem I had with my health. When he told me I thought of it as an

outlandish story, but still because he was a friend I gave it a try. I had a

profound recovery of most of 70% health within a few weaks, the other 30% took

longer. I had my amalgams removed and replaced by white (composite etc.)

fillings. Since the detoxification from mercury and the removal of the fillings

I have the feeling for the first time since a long time I have my live back in

my hands. The last time I felt so good was when I was 12 or so, those where the

days when the dentist started to implant the first mercury amalgam fillings.

Science clearly proofs that mercury is released in large dangerous amount from

the amalgam fillings. And ofcourse science has proven and is proving over and

over again that mercury is extremely toxic. For you to make a decision !!!!!

I consider mercury amalgams unsafe for humans. I suffered from intractable

depression for over 30 years until I remortgaged my home at the age of 57 to

have my mercury amalgams correctly removed. The dentist who removed my amalgams started doing amalgam removal after his young wife's serious illness was cured through almalgam removal by Dr. Hal Huggins. I no longer suffer from the

severe depression which has robbed me of much of my life.

In my research, I find it interesting that most of the alternative medicine

professionals suggest having mercury removed and many of their patients get

well. In fact, the most successful cancer clinics in Mexico and offshore,

insist that all mercury fillings be removed and methods are then used to

eliminate mercury from the body with many people with advanced cancers

getting well.

How can a material that the dentist must treat as a toxic, noxious poison in

his/her office be safe in a human mouth??!!! No matter what it is mixed

with, No matter how it is applied.

I am very angry for the years I lost in my life because of mercury amalgams

and for the money I had to spend for removal when I had already spent a lot of money to have them put in.

I got all my amalgams out recently. Now I'm detoxing and getting better. I just can't believe how bad it got. I still can't eat anything with preservitives. I still have fautigue and back pain. Then bang at 25 I started getting panic attacks and dizziness and unreality.

All this went on in differing levels of intensity for about 10 years.

Got real bad about a year ago ( after a filling rebuild) and finally

admitted to myself I was sick and decided to get fixed. (All the doc's

I saw over the years did not offer any solutions).

Having admitted I was sick I recalled my brother telling me a story of

a friend of his who had his fillings removed as he was going insane.

I went to the internet and did the google thing with alagam and anxiety.

I found my solution. 6 month on and mercury free. Dizzy head is gone, as

is the feeeling of unreality and "constant" anxiety. Astma is 90% gone. And

upon removal of the fillings in a matter of weeks my blocked nose of 4 years

was clear and I can now breath freely through it.

Previous to this I had been been bedridden with chronic fatigue, chemical & food sensitivities, endless sinus infections, electrical hypersensitivity, and virtually zero immune system. When I happened upon information that electrical hypersensitivity could be alleviated be the removal of all metals in my mouth and going on a heavy

metal detox, I immediately got all metals removed from my mouth in July 2001

by a mercury free dentist, and was flat on my back from a HUGE detox during

the following 2 weeks. I only began to improve once I stopped taking all the antibiotics that conventional medicine was giving me, and started detoxing as I was told to do by alternative practitioners. I also heavily researched my options on heavy metal

detox options, and selected NDF. I've been taking NDF since August 2001.

After having no results from numerous EMF protection devices, I finally

found help from the devices sold by Quantum Products. This also caused a huge detox for about a week, and helped enable me to return to work after being on disability for about a year.

Now that I've gone through 22 bottles of NDF (!), my practitioner who is

testing me with kinesiology thinks that my #1 problem now (and possibly also

an original obstruction my ability to detox) is an ongoing mycoplasma

infection. She gave me some Standard Process "Echinacea Premium Blend 1:2",

and I found myself again reaching yet another higher level of health, and

I'm in the midst of another major detox. She's also about to put me on some

of Sanum's pleomorphic homeopathics for this sort of thing.

After the removal of my 16 amalgams, I was able to discard the buspar, and all nurological symptoms have dissapeared. I do have some vision blurriness and a few other things, which excelerate during chelation, but I know its the mercury and other metals. Patti

I have MS that I think was caused by mercury from amalgam fillings. My teeth were maybe 40 % amalgam. I just didn't have fillings, I had whole teeth made up of the stuff! Mega Vitamin C is said to have chelation properties. I believe it. I take mega C. Before I had my teeth removed I was taking 30 to 50 grams/day. After they were removed this quickly dropped to about 12 grams/day. I had my teeth all pulled out by a regular dentist with reasonable care and not much more. They took the crumbly things and the roots out in two sessions. But I had no ill effects whatsoever. I heartily recommend getting rid of the poison. And false teeth are convenient, and no troubles whatsoever. And they are cheap. I made such a postive improvement in general well being that everybody commented and I felt good for the first time in 6 years. Jock McTavish <mctavjoc@home.com >

It's been about 4 years since my dx of MS. I've had all my amalgams removed and been taking the slow approach to chelation (herbs, nuts and twigs as someone put it plus as much sweat as I can tolerate). I've only gotten better (R/R MS is supposed to be an up/down kind of thing. only up for me, but a millimeter at a time). I currently find myself energeticenough to keep up with an "I refuse to sleep" 2 year old at home and 20 somethings on the basketball court(I'm 45). Mental acuity is better than it ever has been. Still can't eat much in terms of variety, but if that's the cost, I can live with it. Who knows, that may improve as well given time. Michael V. Capizzi mvcapizzi@pacbell.net*****************************************************************************

. I also have "Primary Lymphedema" so I figured the sceptics could just say that it caused my

symptoms. I admit that my LE does give me some fatigue and much discomfort!

So I have always been looking for ways to cleanse my lymphatic system and when I learned about amalgams it was something I wanted to deal with as well. I can tell you that after replacements I was relieved of chronic depression and anxiety that I had suffered for years. My MD had offered me antidepressant medication in the past but I always stuck with St Johns Wort and other supplements. I did inform my MD that removing my amalgams had cured my depression. I told her that it was like the world had the lights turned on and suddenly became a bright, happy place.

Now I am taking Glutathione precursors and feel that my head is becoming clearer. I have done no chelation, just exercise and sweating it out. I did have 8 or 9 Ozone saunas after which I left plenty of inky black residue on the towels I had sat on in the sauna. Aerobic exercise seems to be the best way for me to sweat out any toxins.

I have wondered if I was born lacking a complete lymphatic system because of the fact that my Mother had a mouth full of amalgams since her childhood. She also had 2 miscarriages before carrying me to term!

Through the years I seeked many specialists while searching for a diagnosis. I felt horrible! I knew that the way I felt   extremely tired and in pain   was not normal. I was given every anti anxiety and anti depressant available beginning with Valium. None were helpful. Conversely, I experienced allergic reactions to nearly every medication including Prozac. I was diagnosed neurotic and/or dillusional time after time. I was told, "Maryellen, you are a vibrant and healthy yound lady. Enjoy life! Don't take yourself so seriously! Maintain a sense of humor

about yourself. Change your attitude and you will thrive" by specialists of all sorts. Finally, I decided to take my life into my own hands and I began to search the libraries for Alternative means for health. I read Dr Clark's first book in 1995. This would change my life   in fact, it SAVED my life. Dr Clark urges the dental cleanup before any other procedure.

In 1992, November 14th, was the last day of my secular career. I was practically bed ridden until almost exactly November 14th in 1997 when I had ALL amalgams removed at once. This caused a severe detoxing episode that mimicked the flu for about six weeks. I had three intravenous chelation occurences and followed these with oral supplemental chelation therapy.

Interestingly, my TMJ dissappeared instantly. I had my last migraine soon after that. The Angina pain gradually left over a few weeks. The Fibromyalgia pain ceased almost instantly after a few months of chelation. My lungs 'cleared up' and the pleurisy pain ceased. I no longer need the pneumonia vaccines. I haven't had a flu vaccine for three years. I haven't had the FLU! Chronic Fatique Syndrome is 80% cured as I speak. The Colitis is 98% cured, and my over all

constipation is still healing. I am actively cleansing my liver and kidneys which is eliminating an idiopathic bladder pain. My body is releasing gall bile once again. I am beginning to enjoy life once again.

I didn't have digestive problems until I began the series of amalgam filling in 1969. I am

recovery from removal of same now. One by one my organs came 'alive' again. Step by step, I am getting my life back on track. The food allergies are 'curing.' I am still 'allergic' to three major foods [wheat, beef, pork] but have learned how to possibly speed up the healing. Dr. Clark says that liver cleanses will eventually clear up all allergies   whatever the cause   and she teaches people how to do the cleanses. It costs nearly nothing because the engredients are common home items. Her website gives the information at www.drclark.net Has anyone else tried the liver flushes?

My webpage is http://members.home.net/mredt/Maryellen.htm

It deserves an update, but it will give you an idea of my circumstances. I mentioned this because I believe that the combination of amalgam removal, Dr Clark's cleansing protocol is involved in giving my life back. mejwcowboy@yahoo.com

Hi Bernie,

Spring is here and what a improvement from last year!!! I know it is due to the chelation. In case I have not told you before, I really , really appreciated your advise while I was on the Eczema list and the fact that you steered me in to the right direction. I just wish more people had

taken your advise. Nicolas' eczema is gone. He still has very reactive skin but no actual eczema. Even his reactive skin has calmed down. At this time last year he was a MESS! Again thank you so much. Sincerely, Susan JSUENICK@webtv.net (Susan A.)

Eileen, I agree with you. After all the falldeerall we lived through   ultimately it was the mercury poisoning that was making me so very sick. I was near death, everything was slowing down and I was bed ridden when I realized that the metal had to come out of my dental work. The rest is history. After getting rid of the mercury, everything is getting better.

I was extremely ill with fibromyalgia, migranes, irritable bowel, TMJ, and anxious to get all that mercury out of my teeth. I went to a dentist that went through the whole ordeal years ago and now has a mercury-free practice. I wanted all 14 teeth to be addressed in one visit. He didn't bother to explain the importance of doing it gradually. All metal was removed in one visit. I went into a 6 week 'healing crisis ?' that made me even sicker. There were times when I thought I was dying and so did my husband. However, I lived. That was almost 4 years ago. I have not had the teeth refilled. My teeth [what's left of them] are thriving, living tissue and are clean and painless. The difference in how I feel is probably 110% BETTER. The first thing that went was the TMJ pain, then the migraines, and gradually the fibromyalgia pain, IBS [irritable bowel], arthritis pain, MVP [heart] symptoms, digestive problems, Pancreas pain [low-sugar], some Spleen discomfort, Hemorroids, MS symptoms, and much more including the burning and tingling of my scalp, hands and feet, and last but certainly not least the CFS [chronic fatigue syndrome] has all GONE. I now feel normal - possibly better than I have EVER felt. During this [almost] four years of recuperation I have used Dr Clark's anti-parasite program eg the 3 herbs and zapper. I did the mercury removal all wrong. I was given a test-kit to send to St Louis, but chose not to because I was so sick that I wasn't sure I would live long enough to see the results of the testing. Besides, our money was short due to my own health expenses - unable to work and yadda yadda yadda. My husband has been very supportive.

. I have systemic lupus and have improved a lot since my cavitation surgery. My dentist works with a naturopath, who uses computerized screening to diagnose cavitations (not a Cavitat). She was able to determine which of my teeth had to be pulled, even without knowing which had had root canals. As it turned out the 5 teeth that had root canals were the ones she diagnosed as having cavitations.

After I had 6 removed last month at once, I felt horrible for a few days. It was weird, my tongue even got heavily coated with white gook (sorry) that I couldn't brush off! Now, it's red and healthy (which it never was before) and I'm feeling a lot better, even with my Lupus. "AmeliaGerlach"ameliagerlach@hotmail.com &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

JJ, my best friend's MIL (I've known her since my friend got married in 1987)
had lupus. She had the diagnosis for almost 20 years and her health was
deteriorating very badly. A friend of hers also had an autoimmune disease
and told her about the relationship to mercury toxicity from amalgams. She
(friend's MIL) found a merc-free dentist (she lives in Modesto, CA) and had
all her amalgams removed two years ago, and now her lupus is in complete
remission. She has been symptom-free for 18 months. I haven't seen her in
several years, but I saw some pictures of her when I visited my friend back
in January, and I couldn't believe it was the same person--she looked SO much
younger and healthier, and no longer had the thickened neck and jaw, deep
furrows on her brow, and peeling skin problems that she's had since before I
first met her in 1987. That was one of the things that motivated me to go
ahead and get my amalgams removed (which I just did back in May).

Shortly before High School graduation in 1970, at the insistance and expense of my mother, who stated "you should start out your new life with good teeth", I had extensive dental work done involving the amalgam restoration of almost 40% of my teeth. My teeth (which were strong and had given me NO pain up until this work was done) were deeply drilled and undercut andpacked tightly with mercury/amalgam fillings, mostly in the posterior teeth, but including my upper left eye tooth, which was very deeply drilled and filled.I began to notice some odd sensations, shortly after the work was completed, dizzyness and tunnelvision and numbness of my extremities were the most notable. 5 months later I joined the US Navy as a Wave, and left Hawaii for basic training in Maryland. My goal was to eventually fly military aircraft with a long term goal of applying for the astronaut training program, therefore I requested and was accepted to the aviation branch of the US Navy, whose training facilities were in Millington (Memphis) Tennessee. While undergoing my basic flight readyness training, I experienced a Grand Mal Epileptic seizure. I had no idea what had happened to me, but awoke in the dispensary with a corpsman asking me what my name and Navy serial number were. Of course, I was completely confused and disoriented and had no idea who I was, or how I had got there. Having fallen at the side of a swimmingpool on a concrete slab, I had a large knot on the back of my head and abrasions on my ankles and elbows from the seizure's gyrations. After my school was completed, I was stationed at Alameda Naval Air Station, near San Francisco, and the Navy scheduled various diagnostic tests for me at their Oak Knoll Naval Hospital. I had EEG's and Brain Scans. The EEG's showed the typical epileptic series of spikes and domes, when aggravated by flashing light. The "Brain Scan" showed no visible, organic cause for the condition. I have never had an MRI, since the technology did not exist at that time. I was prescribed anti-seizure medications, Dilantin and Phenobarbitol along with Valium tocontrol the seizures, which continued with a frequency of 3-4 Grand Mal seizures per year. Since I had no "aura" or any indication of when and where a seizure would strike me, I was informed by the Navy that not only would I never be able to fly aircraft, but that for me to be even in theVICINITY of aircraft would be dangerous and create undue liability for the Navy. I was therefore offered an Honorable Discharge for Medical Reasons, which I agreed to take.I went back home to my parents' house, and fell into a deep depression. Myseizures continued to occur, without warning (and usually resulting in an ambulance ride, or at the very least, a huge goose-egg on the back of my skull from striking concrete floors or sidewalks, head-first). I also experienced "petit mal" seizures and "deja-vu", but didnot always recognize their occurrence at the time.. I have had them while asleep, while awake, while driving in my car, (with disastrous results which, luckily I survived.) I have come to consciousness in strange surroundings, in the shower, in a parkinglot, and usually with someone asking me, "what is your name?" and me thinking.."sheeze, damned if I know!I continued on a maintenance dose of Dilantin for over 10 years, resigned to my situation and trying to make the best of what my life had become. All the time I was battling depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts, and on more than one occasion actually did attempt to take my own life, without success. Then, in 1984, something very interesting happened.I lost that deep mercury/amalgam filling in my left upper "eye" tooth, (the tooth actually cracked and broke in half just below the gumline) and the tooth was subsequently replaced by an implanted false, plastic tooth.I NEVER HAD ANOTHER EPILEPTIC SEIZURE AFTER THAT DAY.I began to realize that there was a specific correllation between the time (at age 18) when I had the aforementioned extensive dental work done, and the onset of my seizure disorder within a few months of the work being completed. After 3 more years without seizures, I weaned myself carefully from the 400mg of Dilantin I had taken daily since the age of 19 years. To this day, I remainseizure. I can't help thinking that if I had never had those amalgam fillings, my life would have been much different. I might have actually become the astronaut I wanted to be, instead of an unemployed, welfare mother with emotional problems. I was intelligent, educated and had the ambition and drive to become a contributing member of society, but intead I ended up fora very long time, being a drain on public resources.: DivaLove (puamana@flex.com

I had fibro for years but got rid of it with metals detox and glyco's.In 1997 my Dentist put a full metal crown next to a root canaled tooth and by 1998 I was totally disabled with overwhelming fatigue. I could not function at all and I did not know what the problem was until I found a Dr in Toronto who told me about the Dental connection. I was shocked and did not know if I believed it or not. Anyway, he gave some testosterone and an Iv and I perked up for about 8 months and did not take the dental connection too seriously as I felt okey for a time and then I started to go down again and started to take the dental connection more seriously. I had a test done and proceeded to get my fillings removed and I was numb, had sensations of ants crawling and hair loss on my left side. It was not until Jan of 2000 that I knew it was the metal crown that did this. I had some iv's of vit c in Dec and the numbness and tingling went away and the hair loss stopped. I had a huge surge in energy and was okey for awhile and I got very sick again and had to go on antibiotic's for infection.I improved but I still had to take care of the dead teeth and cavitations as I was getting sicker every day. There is so much more to this story on how this all happened.I am improving very well now and I have not done anything yet to help get the mercury out as I am still going through testing. I have already said removing all the mercury filled teeth and having the bone cleaned was the best thing I did to improve my health. I was totally disabled and in pain all of the time until I did that. I do not believe that people who are very ill can get better with leaving the mercury filled teeth in the mouth because the mercury is still in the roots and I believe there are a lot of people with dead teeth left in there mouth producing toxins and bacteria. I think in the future they will prove that all the teeth must be pulled and the bone completly scraped to get rid of all the bacteria and toxins. I had no pain in most of my teeth and they were all dead.If I was sick,I would head straight to Mexico and have it all done.I had the cavitat done and it clearly showed the bone destruction so the teeth had to be removed to get to the bone. Some teeth did not have bone lose under them but they were dead also.I do not believe those on antibiotic's will ever get off and be well until this is done and the mercury and infection in the teeth depress the immune system. It will be the immune system in the end that takes care of the infection. Klingdart is right about removing the mercury and then treating the infections. I just take supplements to improve my immune system and I will do a detox program slowly. I did not feel well either after each surgery,it was only after all the teeth were removed and the bone cleaned that I started to skyrocket in my health.Marlene "Marlene" <mmacfar@nbnet.nb.ca>*******************************************************************

I had a nickel crown over a root canal with amalgam in it for 20 years. I had CFS,fibromyalgia, food allergy, menopause at 38 & MCS. I was so messed up with symptoms that dozens of doctors thought I was a mental case. All of their ususal and useless tests said I was healthy. What a bush of bull, I was so sick I could hardly hold up my head. I had to lie down on acouch in the waiting room for my appointment, and instead of sitting on the examing table, I had to lie down. I was thinking about suicide. Two years ago that tooth became infected (thank god) and was pulled. Within a week I was 75% improved. It was like being set loose from Hell! I still have MCS. I guess some things don't reverse, but the MCS is not as severe, and I think thatover time with mild detox using something that agrees with me without side effects I’ll get even better.Who would every imagine that you're are destroying your health by taking care of your teeth. I started getting amalgam fillings when I was in kingergarten! I was hyper active, attentiondeficite, spaced out, had mouth ulcers after visiting the dentist. They didn't consider that a big problem or a problem at all. I can remember a time when I was a teenager, that I had so many mouth ulcers that it was painful to talk! Basically its so simple; we are flesh and blood andmetal parts and toxic chemicals are going to make you sick in some way sooner or later.

I wanted to ad that I had my amalgams replaced with composits (13 of them) all were in the teeth that get the most impact from chewing. That was 20 or more years ago, and just last year one of them had to be replaced, it started chipping off little pieces. I think mine lasted as long or longer than my old amalgams because over the years a lot of those amalgams had to be made bigger and bigger. I am very pleased with mine. I had horrible reactions and sickness to a nickelcrown over a root canal, it's gone now too and my health is very good. Kathy kbel@webtv.net

I just had my last amalgams out about 3 weeks ago, and I am already seeing some improvement in my health. I am also having Vit. C I.V. drips 2 or 3 times a month, and each time I have one my health improves a little more. My main health problem(s) before having the amalgams out have been primarily gastrointestinal in nature - severe candidiasis overgrowths, multiple food allergies/sensitivities, and my doctor feels there is/has been some other infection going on in my digestive tract that we were never really able to get to show up on a test. I also had some liver damage, and a significant amount of chronic fatigue. Now that the amalgams are out and I'm taking the I.V.'s the infection(s) are rapidly dying off and I am actually beginning to think that I may have a fairly normal life again someday soon.

I am 39 years old and have three healthy girls. Before I had my three daughters, however, I encountered many difficulties that I believe are attributable to mercury poisoning. I was vaccinated as a child which was probably my first real exposure to mercury. I also had many amalgam fillings as a child. When I was 27 years old, I became pregnant for the first time. Shortly after I conceived, I miscarried. The doctor told me that the baby never started developing and that I could try to get pregnant again immediately. I did become pregnant the next month and had my first daughter.

I started to have more medical problems that led to my amalgam replacement when my daughter was seven months old. After I had all my amalgams replaced, I felt better than I had in years. I did not pursue active detoxification because I seemed to be feeling fine without it. I again became pregnant and again miscarried, again, and again and again. I had a total of four more miscarriages. Each time that I became pregnant, I would experience more symptoms of mercury poisoning, as if my body was detoxifying while I was pregnant. And each time, the miscarriage was at the very early stages of pregnancy. Finally, I became pregnant again and had an ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy. I had a live baby! I saw the baby and it had a heartbeat. A seemingly normal, healthy baby. I was concerned because I still experienced more symptoms of mercury poisoning during this pregnancy, but I had proof that my baby was live. The baby was approximately 6 weeks old. Unfortunately, at my next doctor's appointment, the doctor could not find a heartbeat. Another ultrasound confirmed that this baby too, had died. I was crushed, but knew that this baby's life had a purpose.

Because the baby was not naturally aborting, I had to have a D & C. This time, I decided to have the baby tested. They sent the fetus to the Mayo Clinic and tested the "products of conception" for mercury levels. All the mercury experts didn't think that the mercury level would be significant because at this point it was a good two years after amalgam replacement.

But much to their surprise, the mercury level came back four times higher than normal! The so-called experts felt that the actual amount was too minute to have caused the baby's death. The bottom line was, however, that I had a dead baby with mercury levels four times higher than normal! I was determined to expose this deadly poison. I went through a more active detoxification process and went on to have two more healthy baby girls. I still fight for a mercury-free environment, not only for my three living daughters, but most especially, for my unborn babies that lost their fight with mercury.

Recovery from mercury toxicity: www.earthtym.net/merc eg1.htm#intro

&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

In 1997 I was advised by my therapist that my amalgam fillings were leaking and this was the reason I felt so poorly. I found it hard to believe that the NHS would use mercury, which is classed as toxic waste, in tooth fillings so I had two further opinions. Both of these tests also showed high mercury leakage. I also had a test from a specialist dentist that established which tooth filling had the highest electric charge and this was safely removed first. I had been ill for the past 35 years of my life, but obviously I had no idea that I was slowly being poisoned. My symptoms up to the year 2000 were: chronic short term memory problems (e.g. walking into a room and forgetting what for, forgetting people’’s names, losing the thread of what I was saying in the middle of a sentence, forgetting how to get dressed, etc.), slurred speech, blurred vision, fuzzy head, swollen tongue and throat, burning mouth, metallic taste in my mouth, asthma, IBS, pain in arms and legs for seventeen years, tingling and numbness all over, legs giving way (which meant that I had to give up driving), allergies to foods, chemicals and electricity, chronic fatigue, collapsing after being on escalators. I couldn’’t enter shops because clothing, carpets, etc. made me feel so ill. For the last few years of my illness, my symptoms were made worse after a placement of a crown backed with nickel. Not only did I have to give up work, but also found that I could not wear any type of jewellery, especially earrings as they would make my ears itch. This year I have tried wearing earrings again and can leave them in for as long as I like without any bad effects at all.People are driving with fuzzy, unclear heads and not thinking straight in order to avoid an accident. This is probably why so many cars shoot across in front of you at turnings because the driver forgot he saw a car coming. I can now look back and see how my driving had deteriorated over those years. Now I am back to normal I can drive safely again, but it concerns me about others on the road who are affected by the mercury in their teeth but are completely oblivious to the fact. It took me three years of special detoxification to remove all the metal from my brain and body.I would like to point out that the majority of doctors don’’t believe people when they arrive at the surgery with a long list of symptoms and many are referred to psychiatrists. Sometimes when patients do manage, via their GP, to have a mercury test, this often comes up as negative as the correct procedure of detoxifying beforehand hasn’’t been carried out. It will now take me years to try and build my immune system back up again. I am well most of the time now, but I still have a few allergies to the environment as my immune system is so low. I cannot work now as it would not be fair to my employer as I would need to take time off work when affected by something. I am struggling to make ends meet because of this illness. I have worked all my life until this happened. It has ruined my life. The memories of what I went through will never leave me and the amount of people suffering out there today is beyond belief.Furthermore our environment is being polluted more and more with these toxic heavy metals from the waste from dental surgeries that is ingested by the fish that we eat. Three of the metal fillings I had removed tested above 50 micro amperes - in other words, OFF THE CHART. The metal was using up all my energy. I thought I was losing my mind. Maryellen “MaryEllen Johnson" <jmejohnson@fuse.net> &&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

I am writing to you regarding my own personal experience with mercury toxicity. My health began to decline in 1991 after I had an old mercury amalgam removed. I went to several physicians and was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, overuse syndrome, systemic candidiasis, chronic fatigue, endometriosis. I was not diagnosed with mercury toxicity until 1998. During this time my health spiraled downward. I could no longer eat without severe gastro problems. I was bedridden and desperate. Two physicians said that my condition was life-threatening and it was confirmed that I had high levels of mercury in my body. I had a choice to make; have the fillings removed and hope that my health would improve, or, at the age of 39, make my decisions regarding a burial and enjoy what time I had left.In 1999, I chose to have all of the mercury fillings removed, along with having the nickel crowns replaced, and teeth pulled where there were root canals. It had taken me a year to make the decision because my insurance company had sent me to "specialists" who said that "there was no such thing as mercury toxicity" and another doctor said that if I had the mercury fillings removed, he would work with the group who he was involved with to have me placed in jail along with my doctors and dentists. He said my medical claim was fraudulent. I paid for the procedures with the last of the money that I had in savings. Having the amalgams removed completely changed my life. My health was restored and I was able to go back to college and obtain a Masters degree in Liberal Studies. There are still health problems but they are not like the devastating problems that I had before. I know that having the dental revisions saved my life. I had felt my life slipping away; and after the dental revisions I began seeing many of my symptoms going away. The unfortunate part of this is that I did not have to go through all of the health problems. Mercury was placed in my mouth without informed consent. Please listen to the scientific reports and the personal stories of people such as myself and ban the placement of mercury amalgams in the United States. My life was saved through reading scientific reports, and talking to other people who had the mercury removed. I made an informed decision which changed my life. Most people are unaware of the scientific research. There are people who have no choice because they are uninformed. Joint pain I know from personal experience is a very real . After doing much reading - I discovered the rather sudden onset of pains in many of my joints was "set -off" by having some of my old dental amalgam ("silver"/mercury fillings) replaced with new ones. Mercury exposure can cause arthritis-like symptoms for some folks. I've had the mercury removed from my mouth. I no longer have any arthritis. My health had been getting progressively worse for a good while. I always read whatever I could get my hands on to figure out what was wrong with me. The real breakthrough was in 1998 when I bought myself a computer and got in the internet. Those "whacky mercury conspiracy people" seemed to have a lot of scientific evidence to back up what they were saying. I got my amalgams out in 1999 and it was the best thing I've ever done. I didn't know "for sure" that it was my amalgams making me sick until after I replaced them all and all of my symptoms across t he board kept getting better and better (this is still the case 3 1/2 years later).Don "DPCondit" <condit@JPS.NET>*********************

Before my own removal of about twenty-three amalgam fillings, I was extremely talkative and irritable, and in a constantly agitated state. In frequent arguments, I made the slightest point while sputtering loudly and hysterically; I was also sub- ject to fits of extreme rage, which I would usually take out on inanimate objects. Gradually, during the year-long removal of my amalgam fillings, these effects completely subsided. My own case of severe asthma completely disappeared upon amal- gam removal. In 1991 a physician (alternative) suggested that I have my amalgams

removed. I did so, using the Hal Huggins protocol. I did not improve. I learned in 2002 that mercury had been "overlooked" under crowns over four molars. I spent $3000 and had mixed metals, mercury and crowns replaced, and within six weeks, following a strict chelation protocol, I began to recover from my inability to perspire. Inasmuch as I have been slow to report on my condition, during the time lapse between May and September, I have improved stamina, almost complete recovery from fibromyalgia, ability to work outdoors in the yard, ability to do repetitive exercises using muscles previously incapable of sustained exercise. I am able to breath easier, without as much strain. I have slept on some rare occasions without sleeping aids, and I can visualize where I have put items. I have added a number of supplements known to address mercury toxicity, that are clearly listed by patient symptom in Amalgam Illness: Diagnosis and Treatment, by Andrew Cutler, Ph.D. My physician has been supportive of my chelation efforts.

My health problems started when I was a child. All of this began after I had mercury fillings placed in all of my molars between the ages of six and ten years old. I had emotional problems, lacked focus and concentration and I had complexion problems that were so severe after having metal braces placed on my teeth at the age of 13, that I had radiation treatment done to my face to clear up the complexion problems. My mental and physical problems continued to grow over the years. Then, between the years 1998 and 2001, I almost died from the methyl-mercury vapors created from the mercury amalgam fillings in my teeth - which intensified very rapidly with the heat and radiation against my head from my cellular phone.

I was diagnosed with Generalized Anxiety, Chronic Sinusitis, Grave's disease, thyroid eye disease, a solid mass thyroid nodule, a breast lump, 'diffuse sensory-motor polyneuropathy', 'ischemic osteoporosis with desciated tissue and no sign of malignancy', depression and panic disorder. I eventually lost my job due to not being able to work. After losing my job, I got to the point financially where I could no longer pay insurance premiums. I no longer have health insurance due to this.

After going around in circles to about fifteen different doctors on my medical network insurance plan, I prayed. I was about to die. I knew I wouldn't live much longer if I didn't find someone to help me. By an answered prayer, I was led to some doctors who saved my life. If I had not found them, I would have died. My problem was mercury toxicity. After getting rid of the dental mercury and detox I am finally better. Debbie Bevel www.To Hell and Back.com/.net

In March 2003, I ended up in the ER with significant tachycardia and irregular heart rhythms which left me unable to even stand up. The heart problems are just one of the manysymptoms I've had over the last several years; constant ringing in the ears, chronic sinusitis, extreme fatigue, mettalic taste, etc. . The bad news is that i have 13 mercury fillings!! The good news is that I have now taken action. I found a reputable holistic dentist and an equally competent naturopathic MD. My heavy metals urine challenge test for mercury was off the page. I have started the detox protocol with MSM, chlorella, Vitamin C IV's, etc. I will have the left side of my mouth free of mercury on April 17 and the right side on April 30th.I will continue with the detox medications and add colonic hydrotherapy and massage. I am thrilled to think that by the end of this month, the mercury in my head will be gone forever.I received 8 amalgam fillings as a 5 year old!!(in Montana in 1953) The following year, i had 8 more. Within 6 months, i began having "heart problems" that no one could ever define. The treatment was bedrest for about 9 months. I also had mono like symptoms for years following that.No dentist in 50 years has told me that we have a problem here. I now know the ADA has poisoned me. And after reading a lot of articles on the Internet, I found out, that my disease could be an intoxication with mercury. I was tested with Dimaval and was found positive to both to mercury and copper. I have now my amalgam fillings taken away and have gone though a treatment ofdetoxication. Now I am slowly improving my health and I am now without medication. My Parkinson's disease was diagnosed from a PET-scanning in the year 2000.

After being disabled for a long time with chronic fatigue, brain fog, neurological problems, and more, I’ve had major improvements since having mercury filled teeth removed and infective jaw bone removed {cavitations}

1. no allergies at all anymore

2. no food allergies at all anymore

3. multiple chemical sensitivities gone

4. sinus problems are non exsistant

5. Use to have the flu for weeks on end and now I am over it in two or three days.

This proves that mercury amalgam and metal in the mouth causes major immune system problems as well as Central Nervous System Disorders and it should be banned.

I was fortunate enough to have learned I had a high systemic level of mercury & a 'battery effect' from amalgam fillings, which caused years of horrible, progressive symptoms, and have had my amalgams removed this winter. My return to good health is really quite astounding since having the work done. I'm still in shock at how RAPIDLY I got well! For 12 years, I had full-blown symptoms of Alzheimer's combined with severe, debilitating fatigue, a weak immune system, and hormonal imbalances. Sadly, two of my children have learning disabilities, which I'm certain are connected to the high levels of mercury that were present in my system.

I hope to see a greater awakening within the dental community of the realities of mercury used in amalgam, and I hope word of the dangers of amalgam fillings becomes more wide-spread.

I’m feeling better since my amalgam removal (properly done), Symptoms that have stopped or greatly diminished are:

Metal taste in mouth.
Cold hands and feet
Facial twitches
Fewer headaches
Concentration (better)
Short term memory (better)
General fatigue
Sleep patterns (better)
Bleeding gums (during brushing)
Night vision (better)
Visual Acuity (better)
Muscle coordination (better)
Balance (better)

The one symptom that I still have somewhat of a  problem with is mental fatigue/ "brain fog" following a shower and specifically after washing my hair. Have you heard of this and if so, can you give me any insight into this problem/symptom. Most other symptoms that I have encountered have either subsided or greatly decreased.

I am a 59 year old woman who had mercury amalgam fillings removed from 11 teeth last year and six crowns replaced with non metalic ceramic this year. My dentists (two) are listed with DAMS but I found one of them the hard way by writing letters and asking dentists about their procedures for removal. My long list of symptoms and severe health problems is getting shorter every day and my health is improving in many ways. Memory, rosacea, arthritis, back pain, low thryroid, hypoglycemia, depression, hormones, etc., all improviong steadily. Instead of feeling 30 years older than my actual age, I now feel 20 years younger than my actual age. It is wonderful!

I never agreed to go through IV chelation but have used DMSA alone and with Alpha Lipoic Acid and also NDF and NDF+. So far they all seeem to work and help and I haven't had any bad reactions. I am very cautious about detoxing and am taking it slow and easy. Before I did anything at all about my teeth, I read everything I could get my hands on about removal and detoxing. I would do it all again, if I had too. Now I am an advocate and activist and helping any one I can to understand the implications of what their teeth can do to their health. I also share all the information I gathered on how to safely go about having their teeth redone with safer materials and my experiences with detox and chelation.

I want to see mercury containing amalgam completely banned from dentistry and mandatory serum compatibility testing implemented or at least offered by every dentist, so people are no longer made sick from toxic dental procedures and materials. I also want to see all thimerasol banned from use in all vaccines not just those intended for children and pregnant women. I want to see coal burning power plants cleaned up so they do not spew out tons of mercury onto unsuspecting people and our lakes and rivers which in turn poisons the fish that we eventually eat.

There is so much to be done and I want to help do it.

I believe the removal of my 13 amalgam fillings back in 2002 cleared up my chronic eye problem called Central Serous Retinopathy which I had, for approximately 2 years prior to removal of my fillings.

The ophthalmologist I had been to, had no cure, no answers to about why this condition occurred or how to prevent it from coming back.

Ophthalmologists claim
Central Serous Retinopathy is due to stress. The ophthalmologist I had gone to, wanted to sear my retina with a laser to seal the leakage of capillaries, but I would be left with a black spot in the path of my vision! Also, this method would not prevent future occurrences of Central Serous Retinopathy.

I believe that the mercury toxicity I had was due to the amalgam fillings and eating fish almost daily.

I believe,
high levels of mercury in my case caused high levels of  cortisol which is prevalent in people who have central serous retinopathy.

The
high levels of mercury and cortisol  were greatly reduced to below normal after my amalgam fillings were removed and I stopped eating fish almost daily! The Central Serous Retinopathy disappeared 2 months after my mercury fillings were removed!

Thank you to the DAMS group for the knowledge that members share, which help us cure ourselves, when doctors don't always have the answers!

Best Regards.  Ben Vicini 310-546-2998

You asked how I felt when my hormones were way off. I experienced really extreme menopausal symptoms. Depression, trouble sleeping, hot flashes that made life unbearable, night sweats, the feeling of a blow torch on my legs at night, extreme fatigue, no energy, and no stamina. I had heat sensitivity that caused problems in all aspects of my life from where I could work, when I could walk outside, what kinds of materials I wore, activities, and where I lived. I blamed all of these on low hormone levels.

I fortunately took charge of my health and got well. Most of these things are better now that I have had my teeth completely redone and detoxed the heavy metals out for three years.

My life is bearable now. My health is better. My outlook is better. My future looks better. My behavior is better. My attitude is better. I sleep through the night where I couldn't fall asleep or stay asleep before. The hopelessness is gone. I have a life now and I didn't before.

I looked up my test results to give you a few examples of how my hormone levels

changed. My Progesterone was 68 in December of 2002 which was very low. It was 652 in February of 2004 which is an OK level. This was a major change. I do use a natural Progesterone cream made from wild yam. The one I use is made by Life Flo but there are others. The artificial hormones are not exact molecular matches but the natural Progesterone from wild yam is an exact molecular match and it doesn't cause all the problems that the pharmaceutical HRT's can cause. It is safe to use. I have never experienced any issues from using it for the past four years or so. My DHEAS level was less than 2.5 in December of 2002 and low. It was 4.3 in February2004 and in the OK range.

My ratio of progesterone to estradiol was low at 68 in December 2002 and OK at 343 in February 2004.

The hormone testing was done on saliva that you collect first thing in the morning before getting up. My doctor made all the arrangements. The lab was ZRT Laboratory in Beaverton, Oregon. ZRT has a website www.salivatest.com.

The other things they checked were Estradiol, Testosterone, and Cortisol. Estradiol and Cortisol were OK in 2002 and Testosterone was low.. These were all much higher and even too high in 2004. I am considering having the tests done again just to see if everything has leveled off.

I recommend this testing in addition to the heavy metals testing.

It is possible to feel better. I truly believe that. I am living proof of it.

Nothing else matters if your health is so bad that you can't live at any kind

of a functional level.

Do whatever you can to get your teeth redone safely. You will not need to do so many other complex, tricky things to feel better, if you can get your teeth to the point where they are not poisoning you. "Linda Foster" fosterstudio@sbcglobal.net

My dentist left my crowns in place although they clearly are fused with non-mercury metal material. I had a very strong electrical current from the combination of metals while the amalgams were in and that went away as soon as the amalgams came out.

While my mercury fillings were in, I had a lot of trouble with dropping things, tripping over my feet, incoordination, etc., but never did anything about it because those symptoms were minor compared to severe endocrine, immune & digestive issues. Only on rare occasions since amalgam removal have I noticed any of this, but I haven't started follow-up chelation, either. I've recently studied and am about to start frequent dose chelation per Andy Cutler's recommendations because I haven'tbeen able to tolerate any amount of Alpha Lipoic Acid in the two years since my fillings came out. I've been too skeptical about IV chelation to attempt it in the last two years, but really need to try to improve endocrine function & energy levels.

I just found a journal I was keeping where I wrote down information at

my doctor and dentist appointments (yes, my dementia WAS so bad I don't remember doing this). At the initial appointment with the dentist over 2 years ago, a probe was used to detect the level of electrical charge coming from each tooth. Directly above my gold crown, he told me I had a tooth that registered -16 and suggested it was causing a "signficant detriment to my health".

On a scale of 1-10, how bad was that? During the later 8-10 years or so this gold crown was in, I was getting a mini-seizure-like brain jolt on a constant basis, where every train of thought or conversation was bleeped out. It was almost totally disabling, and I functioned minimally with notes, journals, timers, etc. Is this form of amalgam-induced dementia common? Does that level of electrical charge suggest a fairly rapid rate of amalgam breakdown & mercury absorption was occurring?

In an entry about 9 months prior to this, a practitioner had told me I had Alzheimer's. I didn't remember that actually being said, either. But I didn't have Alzheimer's...the jolts ended and I had a clear thought train (and amazing improvement in memory) the morning after the first quadrant of fillings came out. I continue to wonder, every day, just how many people who supposedly suffer from early Alzheimer's just need some teeth yanked out and disease progression could be halted.

I had multiple fillings in eleven teeth, crowns over amalgam, in a financial and income sinkhole from being not well for years.

But I refinanced my house to pay for the dental work I couldn’t afford. I got an adjustable mortgage with fixed, interest only, low payments for the first three years. This gave me three years to get my life and my health back. I refinanced my whole mortgage as adding an equity loan would have taken my payments way out of the range where I could have dealt with them. I feel that this saved my life. I was in really bad shape, no hope for the future, almost unable to work at any job what-so-ever, and

health issue after health issue piling up. Actually I did the refinance

twice. Couldn't work enough to buy a car. I was driving an 18 year old car

and my house needed work and I had credit cards to pay off. I still have

two years to go of low payments on the second refinance. I was so sick I

couldn't have pulled it all together to even sell my house, and, then where

would I have lived if I did sell it?

I know this was a drastic measure, but it is working out for me. I had all

the dental work done and I have been chelating for two years. The house

refinance paid for all the testing before amalgam removal including the

Serum Compatibility Test, doctor visits, hormone profiles, heavy metals

testing, hair analysis, blood work, compatible fillings and new metal free

crowns, post removal testing, an alternative doctor for nutritional advice,

the NDF, DMSA, and Alpha Lipoic Acid I used for chelation, everything. It

even helped me cut down on how many hours I had to work so I wouldn't have

to get so tired and I could deal with the chelation more easily.

I am doing so much better. I would do it all again, without hesitation. I

had no life, no hope for the future, felt 30 years older than my age, and

really thought it was going to kill me one way or another. I decided my

house owed me after I had struggled to pay for it and to keep it while I was

so sick. I am finally getting to where I can enjoy the yard again, maybe

even work more hours one of these days, or be able to take on selling the

house in two years when the payments will start going up. At least for now

I have a place to live, I can afford the payments on my current income, I am

getting well, and I have hope. Nothing else much matters when you don't

have good health or hope for the future.

Good luck to you. "Linda Foster" fosterstudio@sbcglobal.net

I'm here to tell you ALL that there IS definitely a heavy metal taste in
your mouth with and after getting amalgams out!  I'm a living testimony to
that fact!  I've had 17 amalgams replaced and was a welder for over 22
years.  Apparently I got used to that awful taste... and now that I no
longer have amalgams and have pretty well detoxed my body (thankfully lately
with the assistance of a naturopath and Standard Process supplements which
are addressing the heavy metals in me, particularly the thyroid), I'm
feeling SO MUCH better... and at nearly 65, that's a WONDERFUL thing!!!

I had chronic fatigue, multiple food intolerances restricted to low carb started improving gradually, athritis, thyroid/adrenal issues, weight issues. Even trying to clean the garage was too much for me at my worst. Had to avoid any stress even light arguements. I went from being a very active athlete mid 20's to being a 70yr old granddad. Not saying this works for everyone but I used andy cutlers detox approach, it took 3 months before I could sustain a short jog for a few minutes, It took 2 yrs to get fully back to normal. I now am back to normal and in the gym for instance I can now lift 80kgs. I did DMSA at 25mg, then 50mg at week 5 then DMSA/ALA 25mg, 50mg, week 10. Stayed at that dose for 1yr. Then ALA only at 50mg for following yr. I did post a little story in the yahoo group but at some point I need to put something better together, clearer more in depth, what I took, dosages, vits/mins, enzymes, kefir/diet etc. Philip Allen <philipmark_allen@hotmail.com>

The first symptom I had of mercury toxicity was double vision, then drooping eyelids. I also had floaters for years and bright lights blinded me. When I was 42 my keen eyesight started to go and I had to wear glasses to sew or read. By the time 1998 rolled around I was wearing 250 magnifying glasses. Within a short period of time after amalgam removal I no longer needed reading glasses, and today I do not wear glasses and am able to read any size print.

However, I still have very slight double vision to the extreme right and left, I don't have floaters any longer but still have some sensitivity to bright lights.

over 40 chronic conditions documented in my annotated bibliography, cases followed by doctors or clinics. www.flcv.com/hgremove.html & www.flcv.com/hgrecovp.html

I can also supply the names of Medical Labs that do tests for toxic metals like

mercury. They have many thousands of cases documented of high levels of mercury on the tests they do, much above the Medical reference ranges, obviously mercury poisoned. And the average level for those with amalgams several times that for those without amalgams. This is a matter of record based on hundreds of thousands of tests.
